I've tried others to save a couple of bucks, but they markings eventually fade away. My Pyrex holds up; I've got ones that are more than 10 years old, see the dishwasher after every use, and haven't faded at all. If you hand wash this might not be a concern to you, but I'm lazy - so these are worth it to me.

I bought in April of this year 2025, as I read Pyrex was shutting down it's Factory, here in the USA. I bought this recently as a Spare to the one I already have. These are well built, with a special, heavy glass. They can last a very long time, with the proper care. I use it to primarily, Microwave the Water for my Coffee and use it occasionally for cooking. This is a great Kitichen product, hands down. Very sad, they won't be making this anymore due to foreign Copy cat competitors.

I looked everywhere for a measuring cup this size in glass and could not find one in any other stores. I am glad that Amazon had one because I like to heat things in the microwave in my measuring cup.

POUR SLOWLY! If not, the liquid will spill down the side of the measuring cup. It doesn’t have a well shaped spout. Compared to my other sized measuring cup, it’s not rounded downwards to ensure a smooth pour. It’s kind of annoying.
