UPDATE II: After months of waiting for Chamberlain to fix the video delete function, they finally did it! I’m now VERY happy with ALL of my Chamberlain/MyQ devices and rate them 5 stars. I only hope the app developers learned a valuable lesson…IF IT AIN’T BROKE, DON’T FIX IT!UPDATE: my original post stands, and now for the reason I changed the rating to 2 stars: The software engineers and/or App developers put out a change to the already-working-just-fine MyQ App which removes the ability to BULK DELETE videos. You can only delete videos one-by-one, which, if you have 50, 100 or in my latest experience, well over a hundred recorded videos, you’ll spend 30-45 minutes or more, clearing videos from your storage account. The only other option is to delete them every single day, which is another pain in the burro.And here’s the kicker…Chamberlain has known for several months that this is a HUGE issue for users of their camera products, but has failed to fix the App in spite of too-numerous-to-count complaints on the App Store reviews. Chamberlain told me two months ago that they were aware of this problem and were working to resolve it. BULL! Two months later and it still isn’t fixed. All they had to do was issue another update, turning back the clock to the previous version. They aren’t fixing anything because, hey, they got their money for the cameras, so why fix anything?PREVIOUS REVIEW:This video keypad is fantastic in all respects but one, which I will address later in this review. Video quality is great, audio is crystal clear and easy to communicate with delivery people, etc. I’m glad I opted to upgrade from the basic keypad I’ve had for years. Setup was easy as well.Now for the shortcoming: although the battery lasts quite a long time (mine has been going for over 3 months before needing charging), it takes 10+ hours to recharge. That means no keypad or surveillance available all day (or night if you’re charging at night). And, to my knowledge and experience, the only way you’ll know the battery needs charging is a notification on your phone that the keypad is off line.To solve this issue, one must buy a second battery, keep it charged up, and swap batteries when the active one goes dead. That’s a $30 expense that I would rather have not had, but the alternative of no video surveillance and no keypad leaves no choice.And that’s why I gave this otherwise stellar device 4 stars instead of 5.

If I could have given it negative stars, I would.I get the “keypad is offline” message at least 100 times daily. This is one of the worst products I’ve ever purchased, hands down. Don’t pay attention to any ratings over 1 star. They are either Ai made, or paid reviews. The one Star ratings are the only accurate reviews for this product.Here’s the main part of this review: if you read any of the review read this: YOUR WIFI WILL BARELY RUN THIS THING NO MATTER WHAT WIFI YOU HAVE. I was having many issues with the device connecting to WiFi. Constantly being told my keypad was offline & had poor connection. It suggests buying another Mesh node to put closer to the device. So I did. Spent another $150 on a node that I placed about 8 feet from the device. Didn’t work. Luckily I was able to return that node. So then I opted to change my internet completely to another company (it was time to shed Xfinity anyway). Had a regional high speed fiber company come install new internet. This is the fastest & strongest WiFi internet I’ve ever seen. I can get a WiFi signal on my phone at the end of my driveway and that’s a good 90 ft from the nearest node that’s INSIDE the house. But the MyQ, absolutely not. Still barely picks up the signal & now I get more “keypad is offline” messages than I did before. Here’s the bad part, by the time I had the new WiFi installed, it was too late to return this piece of garbage. So I’m stuck with frustration or cut my losses to get a good product (like a Ring system - which by the way my Ring doorbell is just as far from the WiFi node and has full signal).1. The setup will have you wanting to pull out your hair. It takes hours and is extremely complicated.2. It rarely successfully stays connected to WiFi - you’ll get the “offline” messages multiple times a day3. It will pick up “ghosts” when it actually is connected to WiFi - meaning, it will alert you to motion that isn’t there. It’s very strange.4. Have to pay for any type of video record or storage5. Have to type code in multiple times before it will register & open6. Battery life is downright dreadful. Drains faster than an RC car circa 1995 - then takes what seems like a lifetime to recharge.Overall, I would RUN AWAY from this purchase. DON’T GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR MONEY - find something better

Great and practical way to have a little more eyes and control of your garage (front) driveway. Easy set up looks like good quality and was on sale.

I was hesitant about buying these given all the reviews about connectivity issues, but the heavy discount during Prime Days led me to give it a shot. I tried programming this keypad for consecutive times. Every time, after programming was complete, it would fail to either open or close my garage door. The camera worked fine however. I spent 30 minutes on the phone with MyQ support and the person I was speaking with gave me something to try that did not work. After ending that call, I was on the verge of returning the keypad when I decided to take a chance and call support one more time. Imagine my surprise when the person I talk to instructed me to remove the LED bulbs from my garage door opener. IT WORKED!!! Apparently LED bulbs interfere with the wireless connection between the keypad and the opener. I did the same thing for a second garage door opener and experienced the same.So - for anyone looking to install this who runs into problems, make sure you are not running LED bulbs in your opener! I will say though, it sucks trying to find incandescent lightbulbs nowadays.Outside of that issue, I will echo what others have said about the battery life being pretty poor. It does not concern me too much personally because I will be hardwiring these keypads at some point in time in the very near future. The other negative I have seen is that, after opening the MyQ app on my phone and clicking on the camera feed, it takes a lot longer than is acceptable for the video stream to actually start playing.
