Not sure why some low rating reviews. Perfect design and all fits - expect some gap that is why it comes with tape, cushioned lining. I have been looking for a Sliding door for portable ac and glad I found this 'most comprehensive' out there in Amazon.

I have a tall sliding door, and this is the first insert I found that was tall enough to fit.I'm just now installing it, and it looks like it's going to work just fine. But the adapter BARELY hangs on to a 5-inch exhaust hose. It seems to thread on all right, but you can easily pull the adapter off the hose without screwing it off. It creates a much stronger hold on a 6-inch hose, but my AC unit requires the 5-inch.I'm a little surprised that there isn't a screen on the adapter to keep critters from crawling into the AC unit. The screen on the adapter it is replacing doesn't fit, so I'm going to have to improvise something. Seems like a major oversight.

Perhaps marginally better than the one that came with our AC, but it’s very unstable. It fell down on my head when putting it in the door and one of the pieces broke.You also can’t adjust exactly, so you will have a gap at the top.

I needed to replace the ugly, shabby door pieces that came with my portable AC. They were really unsightly and didn't want to stay together so they had lots of duct tape and sticky marks-- a real eyesore! I ordered this item because I couldn't stand the old ones any more and I'm so glad I did! Unlike the ones that came with my AC this product gave me enough pieces to fill the height of my door and they really don't look bad. They hold together and don't try to slid down from the sun's heat! Yeah! No tape! They were a great improvement in sealing the door making my AC work better. Recommended!

My original review was for the 5 inch variant. Iwas very happy with that. Upgraded my AC and it had a 5.9 inch hose. So I purchased this variant. Assembly was a snap. Mated up to my existing hose no problem. Finally got something that worked. Fit better than OEM version and a version from another vendor. Solved the issue with patio door. No gaps or spaces. Did not need foam strips. Really happy with this product. Would give it 5+ stars.

This was exactly what I needed. I'm using it to vent my laser out a sliding glass door and it was a perfect fit

This is not compatible with all portable ACs!!! The instructions are terrible and it’s a piece of crap.
