Wow, wow and wow! I am so very elated with my purchase or a renewed Acer Chromebook 315-15 inch screen. I was so very skeptical about purchasing a renewed Chromebook. My previous Acer 315 (exact same) died after almost 3 years. I was not going to get another of the same, but by comparison it still seemed the best value. I grew so used to the large screen and even the funny keyboard layout (with the ten-key numbers on the right which I don't really use) where everything is shifted more to the left, that it feels weird to type on anything else. This Chromebook looks brand new and I would swear it must be. Perfect condition. No scratches, dents, dirt, etc. The keys are not faded. Even the intel and Acer stickers look brand new. I truly cannot believe this is renewed! It came with a case and charger. Be forewarned though, when you first turn it on and plug in the charger it will be at 0%. But that is enough to get you going. You will not see the battery icon on the lower right panel until it begins charging, so be patient! I also get the warning that it may charge slow because it's not the correct adapter, but again that went away once it began to charge. It said it would take 9 hours from 1% but again, it went superfast to 100% in under 2 hours. I ran the diagnostics and it shows the battery life is new, never before fully recharged or recycled. Wow, just wow....that is truly awesome as Amazons description said it would be maybe 80%. Set up was super easy, about 4 steps that you just click through. One thing I love about Google is that it stores your credentials so you just need your email and it's done. All my tabs, extensions and bookmarks came right back. I tested the sound and Bluetooth both are perfect! WiFi is super-fast and I honestly cannot say enough good things about this Chromebook. Kudos to the company and techs that refurbished it. They did an outstanding job. My other Chromebook was the exact same except it was 2000. This one is 2023 and I saved over $100 getting a refurb. Also my old one listed the screen at 15.6, but I measure both and each is exactly 15 inches. This Chromebook is also a little lighter but still made with metal and not plastic. In conclusion, I know some people have had bad experiences with refurb items especially computers, but I have to say this was the best first time experience for me. It all felt brand new like when I bought my previous one-- and in fact even better with some not so obvious upgrades in three years time, but definitely a faster more efficient processor and comparable but lighter weight parts/materials. I think it depends a lot on the company. If they have good integrity, morals and ethics they will not sell or ship faulty products. Again, hats off to the company and employees. Thank you! I had this computer for a year and 4 months, and it was a GREAT buy. I actually may purchase it again. Fortunately, I got the 2 year protection plan, (which was a very wise decision), because a year and 4 months after I purchased it, it just went to black....the screen and everything just went to black, and it would not turn on again, though I had not dropped or abused it before this in any way. However, with me having the 2 year protection plan, all that I had to do was file my claim, and send the item in, and within 24 hours I had the amount originally spent on the computer credited to my Amazon account. So, I HIGHLY recommend the 2 year protection plan, as well. The computer worked well, outstanding actually, until the day it died on me, basically.

Got it for homework, I am not a Laptop person but the set up was easier then I thought, its smooth and sleek, runs quick and starts up right away. No long boring loading screen. Even when its battery is drained. Can connect to your phone and you can easily enable and disable the connection. Its lovely, and affordable for my low income household. You could get better storage with the more expensive one however bc its just for simple online homework it'll do just fine at 64 GBs. Comes with a pouch too! I am very pleased.

Worked great for almost 2 years then stopped working. Screen started to glitch after 1.5 years. Now it won't power on. Charger gets extremely hot.

I recommend you purchase this along with the insurance. This is a great gift for anyone who needs a computer to use. If the computer breaks, they will send you another one. You just have to send the original back for them to repair and resell. This is a sustainable product with great value for college students, business professionals, and people working remote. I don't order refurbished items, but somehow I ended up with this refurbished laptop. I did not see that it was a refurbished item until I had placed the order, in fact I'm not sure it showed refurbished UNTIL I had ordered it. It was for my husband and he said refurbished would be ok, but I should have returned it. Less than 6 months later it died. Worked fine one day and was dead the next. Check closely for "refurbished" befor you order! I'm still not sure this wasn't some kind of bait and switch item.
