Cardboard Profit was a hugely informational and enjoyable read. There's so much content out about the hobby, but no one breaks it all down quite like Ryan. There's a wealth of knowledge in here that's clearly based on personal experience, but delivered in a way for collector's of all kinds. This is a must-read for anyone with an eye towards having the hobby fund itself for your own collection or as a business of its own.

I decided to get back into sports cards after about 25 years. WOW had things changed from my youth. There were what felt like 1000 new products and variations. It was a bit overwhelming to be honest. By chance I went into my local card shop and bought a pack and hit a big baseball prospect auto. I had no idea what to do. Long story short I invested in a very expensive card investment program to teach me all the new things and it wasn't what I was hoping for. Shortly after that program. I came across Cardboard Profits book via Instagram advertising and skeptically decided to buy. I was blown away! I was shocked that all the info that I received in the sports card investment program was all in this book for about $20. I read through the book and decided to let my 10 year read it and it clicked for him. Since reading I've made some great investment decisions (Buying the right product, Timing the Market, Grading the right cards) My 10 year old was able to buy a card for $30 grade for $20 and sold it for about $150I highly recommend! You won't regret it. The author Ryan Sever puts out amazing content on Instagram too.

Finally, a comprehensive, well written, well organized guide to sports cards and sports card investing. Yes, there is a way to turn your old shoebox of cards into REAL money and this book can be your guide. I read it (the first time) in two days.

Good book for getting into card collecting and sales!

I ordered this book because I was interested in investing in to sports cards but I did not know where to start. Ryan’s book gave me a great blueprint on how to start taking my interest in collecting to making some money out of it. It’s been about a year now and I still go back to it from time to time to refresh my knowledge.
