Hidrate Spark 2.0 Smart Water Bottle (Pink)

I ordered and received the pink Hidrate Spark 2.0 water bottle. I've used this daily since I received it, which was one month ago. Here is my honest review:Pros:-Color is true to the product images-Product included all of the items as described-Accurately tracks water intake, give or take a few tenths of an ounce at times (read the instructions to ensure accuracy!)-Glows brightly to ensure you can see it in all situations-Pretty easy to wash-Soft, matte finish makes it nice to hold onto (also see 'cons')-Ships with a set of replacement batteries in addition to batteries already installed (also see 'cons')-Different glow settings and notification options within the app to customize for your needsCons:-Soft, matte finish has already started chipping/peeling off in a few spots after MINIMAL brushes against my wedding ring and setting it on surfaces that aren't smooth-Bottle feels/looks a bit cheaply made (screw top is hard to screw top onto at times resulting in having to reseat the lid before screwing down)-When removing and inserting sensor stick I'm always afraid the thin plastic will break when snapping it in or out of lid-Bottle ships with batteries already installed, which resulted in my bottle dying the SAME day I received it (glow settings were set to minimum options) so I had to go ahead and use the replacement batteries it came with-A bit top heavy as the bottle is tall and the lid is a bit larger than most standard bottlesI do recommend this bottle as it has served its purpose so far. I am definitely drinking more water and it makes tracking the water extremely easy. I also realize that water bottles get scratches over time. However, the company needs to use higher quality parts. This bottle feels a bit too cheaply made for the price. The technology is fantastic. When I pay over $50 for a water bottle I do expect it to screw on easier than my old cheapo water bottle (see the 'seam' in my pic of the screw top). I may contact the company directly about this if it continues to be an issue. They do give you 90 days to file a claim if the bottle is defective. If you can afford it, this is a great product. I do feel that this product has some growing to do though.

I've been waiting to write this review, because I wanted to make sure it's an honest one.I got this bottle two weeks and since getting the bottle, I have reached my water goals EVERY DAY. I wanted to try this bottle because no matter how determined I was to drink more than 20 oz. a day, I just could never do it. My doctor even recommended that I drink 2 liters of water a day and I still wasn't able to do it. Since getting this bottle, I have drank 68 oz. or more a day!I was worried about the app initially, because I had to set up the bottle 3 different times before it finally saved my bottle and everything I inputted into it. For the most part, the sensor seems to get everything. One day I had been drinking water through out the day and it didn't track it until the bottle was empty. So instead of small drinks being posted onto the app over the course of 2-3 hours, there was a huge 21 oz drink. While the amount was still accurate, the app and sensor still has some small flaws. You can also add any water you drank if you were away from your bottle, which is also a plus! My only true complaint is that I wish the bottle was insulated. Perhaps the Hidrate Spark 3.0 will have this feature?Even with the small flaws, this bottle is totally worth it and holds you accountable. I would purchase it again!

this bottle is super expensive and for what?? in the beginning its all fun with the blinking red light reminding you to drink but the app that tracks how much water you drink is often inaccurate...if you turn your bottle a certain way or it falls over while in the car or something, that alters the tracking of how much water. also, i would take tiny little sips and it would say i drank way more....i only had one friend who had the bottle and it was interesting to see how much she drank and try to beat her but that got old quick...all i had to do was ignore the red blinking light...it should make a sound or talk to you for all that money...the notifications that pop up on your phone are annoying too..with corny encouragement to drink. it is also heavy. i went back to using a regular bottle after a few months of this one.

I absolutely love this water bottle. I have always been horrible about drinking water. I hate it. It’s boring. And I’ve tried and tried to give myself goals to increase my water intake and have never been successful. This water bottle has finally gotten me to reach water goals. It’s super easy to set up and sync with your phone (iPhone user here) and watch (iWatch too). The flashing reminders to drink are super helpful but I’ve set mine to also send funny or inspirational notifications to my phone and watch and they really get you motivated. I find that the goals are reasonable and even adjust to my daily activity levels. The challenge of meeting the set goal is what motivates me which is something I could never hold myself to previously. Easy to clean (Dishwasher safe, just take out the sensor because that’s not), fun reminders to keep you on track, working on your health in the process. What more could you ask for?

Bottle works ok to remind you to drink once it is set up. However, we were worried about the durability of the lid which seemed flimsily built and attached. If the bottle is knocked over from any higher than about 2 feet the lid would pop open and because of the wide mouth much of the water would spill. Battery it was shipped with died in a week. All in all, not a bad bottle but for the price I expected a lot more design effort.The company was very good about customer service however so I give them high marks.
