Hi, It could be installed in many places such as home ceiling, under cabinet,patio ceiling,camper, office, gym,etc.

what is the maximum vertical angle of movement range from folded to fully open?

It’s a right angle 90°, max. You can tighten the articulation and create enough resistance that it will tilt back and hold at <90°, but maybe 70° not much more.

Is this drop down tv mount sturdy and easy to install?

I wouldn’t call it sturdy—it’s pressed steel, but it does the job. We hung a 42” screen on it outside and it moves around a bit, leaving us sort of nervous. I would say if you’re hanging anything larger than 32” you’re not going to want to flip it up or down like every day. And no, there’s no way it takes 3 minutes to install. I’m very handy and it took about 1-1/2 hours to prep and do the job right.
