These were gifts from my husband and I adore them. It's recommended that you hand wash them and I remember my grandmother washing a similar set in her dishwasher, it did start to affect the images. I've been hand washing mine and every time I'm impressed with the quality and beauty.

I was so excited to find these old fashioned glasses in the Blue Willow pattern. I have an extensive collection of Blue Willow antiques, many that have been passed down to me from both my Grandmothers, and things well beyond dishes, so it was nice to see these glasses at an affordable price I could use for every day. I've been using my antique ones for everyday but since I've broken a few, thought this would be a good choice. Little did I know, within just over a month, I discovered little pieces of the pattern were flaking off. I had been washing these by hand with just a sponge (soft!) so it wasn't as if they were abused. Occasionally my husband would accidentally put one in the dishwasher, and those have fared less well. Now, the two I have have lost approximately 1/3 of their design (one more than the other.) This design seems to have just been glued on and 'shelf life' under the best of care, is less than two months. I wish I had never bought theses -- and to think, I nearly bought eight altogether. Save your money, they are not worth the price, even though they are beautiful in the beginning. I'll just keep looking for antique ones that I not only can wash by hand (as my Gramma did with her many glasses and glassware of all shapes and sizes that were hers, now mine) but can safely put in the dishwasher. So sad, so sorry!!!!
