Trixie Dog Tracking Lead, Ideal For Command Training, 10 M/Ø 5mm, Black

As a dog owner, the most worrying thing to start with is recall training. You always wonder if they will come back! I didn't have the confidence to just let our 4 month Pomeranian off the lead straight away and so I purchased this lead to give her the impression she was off the lead to see if she would in fact come back when called - she did luckily! However, this was only because we did lots of work with her whilst on this lead so should she run off we would be able to still keep her safe. Now we do not use this as she is fine off the lead and I truly think that is because of this line in the early stages. I am not sure I would have let her off otherwise as was just too worried, but understood that is not fair on the dog too! I guess this could also be good if you have an aggressive dog or one that likes to run away as they still feel like they are off the lead due to the lightweight nature, but equally you can keep them safe which is the most important thing!

Relative cheaply made, not really worth the money, being black difficult to see on the ground and being thin very difficult to pick up if your dog is moving at all, and puppies do move. I would not buy it again, thee are better training leads out there.

Bit thin but does the job

good lead for the smaller dog. We did have to seal one end as they had not fixed it correctly so check before use but remeber tha only use 2 meters in the summer near wildlife or you are breaking the law!

Made recall training easy. My puppy is tiny so I need something lightweight which wouldn't bother her or weigh her down, this was perfect. Only issue we had was that it always tangled no matter how carefully you wound it up.

For training re-call or tracking .. long lead walking this is perfect for a small dog only, reason being the rope is extremely thin and would not hold an excitable medium/large dog

Perfect for working cockers, has helped immensely with call and return training with our new dog, rolls up into a small compact size and fits perfectly in one of the small pockets of my dog walking bag.Good strong construction, rust free with a firm and safe feeling clip at the end.

This is a great lead for off-lead training. I use it on walks all the time with my terrier and it has allowed us to confidently take the lead away when we feel it possible. This is great for both me and my dog. Perfect.
