Clean and square faces
Think of this as a small vertical planer. I bought this just after I got the Rockwell RK7241S table saw, but I wasn’t sure if I would need it. I made a good choice. I required some narrow parts on the cabinet doors I’m attempting to build and they needed to be the same thickness. After I ripped the pieces a little thick on the table saw, I then set the table saw fence to be ½” away and fed them through. The finisher attachment cleaned up the face nice and square and all my pieces came out the same thickness. The setup was extremely simple. Remove a dust cover from the table saw, set the pins on the bottom into the holes in the saw table, tighten two screws and your ready. There is only one adjustment. If you set your fence by the numbers on the saw scale, you can twist a knob on the end to move the position of the attachment to adjust the thickness to match your fence scale. Now, this will not replace a regular planer, but I have limited space in my garage (hence the reason I bought the collapsible Rockwell table saw) and I didn’t want to spend $400 on a planer.I only had one issue with the attachment, but I think the table saw insert is to blame. After my pieces were run through, I was left with a very thin strip along the face at the bottom that was not cleaned up. It wasn’t more than .010” thick and snapped right off. I believe the table insert allowed my narrow pieces to sag below the cutting blades of the finisher. I am planning on making some zero clearance inserts for the saw and I believe this will correct this issue.

Rockwell Table Saw finisher attachment
I originally purchased the Rockwell Table Saw (also thru Amazon)and I was interested in the attachment but I didn't purchase it with the sawI'm not a cabinet maker. I'm a just starting out woodworker. Amazonhad a sale on the attachment and it was at the right time so I purchased it.I used it for several "repair" / oops fixes in my project and it worked beautifully. It's very handy to have attached right on the table saw. As my experience withwoodworking has grown I've actually incorporated it's usage in my design plans.Rockwell seems to think/integrate it's components pretty well.

Great Tool
I like what it seems to do for me. I did a practice on a piece of Maple and did all four sides to bring it down 1 x 3/4 And it was smooth. easy to setup right from the box. I was surprised when I saw a 2" vacuum hose attachment. That helps keep the dust and chips down.

Cool
This is a simple and easy product to use. Does a nice job of cleaning saw marks. I don't need to carry two tools when doing finish work.
