Absolutely the best purchase I've made in a while. Used this with our portable a/c in our travel trailer. So much easier than rigging the hard plastic forms to fit in the window. Only had to open the window just wide enough for the vent hose. Note that the velcro stuck to the wall needs to extend a little further than the cloth to stick better. Highly recommend.

This universal window kit is a HUGE improvement over the ones that came with my portable air conditioners and way more easier to install. The only reason I can't give it five stars is because the none of the strips of velcro backing lined up with the size of my window. I had to fold it a bit at the end to get it to line up. It's too bad they couldn't design it in a way so that you could put the backing on yourself to get it to match your window width exactly.The other thing I noticed is that this lets in more outside noise since it's constructed of fabric. I use it in my bedroom window which is above a busy street. The outside noise is a bit louder now versus using the plastic kit that came with my unit which helped block out more noise.It does the job, though, and I love that if I get a cooler day/night I can detach the fabric from the velcro tape to let the fresh air in, or I can simply pull down the top window. Fabric is very durable and tear proof and should last forever. Have had no issues getting my bedroom cool since using this kit.

Our windows are small so the plastic that comes with the portable ac is slightly too small. I had to cut it and use window insulation tape which would lose its seal during really hot weather, sun and the heat from exhaust. With this I have an easy, perfect seal. I can detach it in seconds from the Velcro and put it back easily if I want to open my window on a nice day. No mess full of sticky residue left behind. Keeps heat out.

My finished basement has larger than normal basement windows but are still small, I ordered this to see if I would have any luck setting up a portable a/c and hooray, works like a charm, was so easy to install. I put the a/c on top of an iron coffee table as the vent tube is too short to leave on the floor. I’m so happy!!

Why did you pick this product vs others?:This is was so much easier to install than other products using plastic.

Wasn’t happy with the product. The adhesive did not stick to my window. I have to use duct tape to help keep the plastic on the window. No, I would not buy this again for my portable air conditioner. Will not recommend buying this. But I needed it because my city and state was in the middle of a heat wave.

The product works great overall, but I did run into a minor issue with the adhesive tape. I made sure to wash and dry the area thoroughly with warm soapy water and let it dry completely before applying, but the tape didn’t hold well and came apart. Despite that, I’m happy with the product itself and plan to buy it again—I’ll just try using a different double-sided tape next time to see if that solves the problem.
