The simplest of kitchen products but does an important job very well. Looks good, works well, and results in far superior boiled eggs.

Having bought an egg cooker which came with a spike on the underside of the water measurer which turned out to be completely incapable of piercing the shell of an egg, this item came to my rescue.It's a well though-out spring-loaded design, so you leave it on the worktop and press the egg down onto it, which releases a proper metal spike. The spike is covered when not in use for safety.

This has been used in my kitchen over the last few years used every time I have boiled eggs.Simple, easy and effective to use, and at a good price.

Works well. Dont be too heavy handed though or the egg will break. Used in conjunction with my electric egg cooker and I'm pleased. Pricey for what it is though

Yes, it's a good egg piercer. Well made. Doesn't damage your eggs like some cheaper models but you pay for this priviledge. On saying that I am pleased I got this as it does the job well!

I was doubtful if it was worth the extra cost over a plastic alternative, but it seems to work well and it looks good. It doesn't apply here, but I would not let young children use it - danger of piercing inquisitive little fingers.

I had often thought about buying an egg piercer but had made do with a succession of safety pins. What a waste of time that was !!This neat little item is perfect for placing a small hole in the end of an egg, to reduce the chances of it cracking in boiling water.I have to say that it does not eliminate the cracking altogether but it does work very well.It is also worth mentioning that it should brcleaned regularly, as the dust from the piercings tends to build up around the piercing pin, reducing its efficacy.A nice little product and good looking with it.

It’s an egg prick. Wanted silver to go with other utensils.It’s a bit stiff. Other than that it pricks the egg.
