Q: How long does the spray last when applied.........

Hard to tell as we used that only once so far - late evening. We went to sleep after an hour or so, the spray was obviously gone in the morning.

Q: Even in the winter I will still run wearing a vest. I wonder if this could be applied to bare skin?

Not sure if it could be applied to bare skin, you would need to ask the supplier direct. I applied it to my bike a two years ago and it's still visible on parts that haven't been 'rubbed' clean

I have personally not used it on a camel but used it on dogs and horses and works well. It last for a long time and even longer if not washed or rained off. I think it will be fine on a camel but I would recommend you contact the manufacturer to check there are no adverse reactions.
