Great fun toy and useful tool.
We have a 12 year old miniature poodle, smart as a whip. We started with the treat button. She got overly excited about the idea of just getting treats when she usually would not and buttons went flying everywhere so I had to set the others aside. She grasped the concept quite quickly but the second time I sat down with her she made it clear she never had to work for treats before and doesn't want to now. She had already gotten several small bites so decided to put iit away so frustration didn't build up. I went into the kitchen and she went into the hallway and started whining for more treats. I told her they were all gone. She walked over to the treat button and very deliberately stepped on it and gave me a look that said we both know we have treats in this house. The next day she pressed it twice on her own when I wasn't near but has not taken advantage of it. What she seems most excited about is the go for a walk button. I have been laid up with allergies and not walking outside so she has been stuck in the house. I can get outside again so I pressed the go for a walk button and opened the door. She didn't go out so I closed the door but she still looked expectant so I told her to press the button which she did and then we went for a walk. She went for four short walks that day because she pressed the button. She also has an outside potty button I started pressing when I took her outside. Last night I called her to the back door, pressed the button and opened the door. She didn't go out so figured she did not need to but in hindsight I realized I hadn't opened the door far enough and she looked puzzled when I closed the door so I said press the button and she did and immediately went outside. I also had a come eat button that she had only heard me press once. I was on the phone and she was giving me the eye when she wants her dinner earlier than she should get it. I asked her what she wanted and when I realized it was dinner I told her she had to wait and then jokingly told her to go press a button. She ran over and pressed the come eat button 3 times and so of course that day she got dinner early. It is uncanny. We have a let's plays button. She hasn't pressed it to get us to play but if we are playing with her and stop she'll run over to press it so we start up again. We have only had this for two days and are amazed how fast she has picked this up and she seems to love being able to communicate with us without confusion. They are stupid easy to program but I recommend speaking clearly and quickly so there is no delay when they press the button. It is easy for her to tell it is my voice and we use the button commands in our daily talks with her to reinforce them. My only recommendation would be that instead of a little rubber pad the buttons sit inside of something with edges that don't raise them higher but prevent them from shoving them all around. I think once she gets a better hang of it she will automatically go to the right button and just step on it instead of pawing it around. This is fun for us and the dog and just like us dogs need to exercise their brains. So glad I got this.

A Game-Changer for Interactive Pet Communication!
I recently purchased the Dog Buttons for Communication for my curious and intelligent Border Collie, and I am thrilled with the results. These buttons have significantly enhanced our ability to communicate and understand each other, making our bond even stronger. Innovative and Effective: The concept behind these communication buttons is brilliant. Each button can be programmed with a specific word or phrase, allowing your dog to learn and press the button to communicate their needs or desires. My dog quickly picked up on the idea, and it has been amazing to see him use the buttons to express himself. From asking for a walk to requesting his favorite toy, the possibilities are endless! Easy to Program and Use: Setting up the buttons was straightforward and user-friendly. The instructions provided were clear, and programming each button with a specific word or phrase was a simple process. The buttons are designed to be sensitive enough for a dog to press easily, yet durable enough to withstand repeated use. Quality and Durability: The build quality of the buttons is impressive. They are made from sturdy, high-quality materials that can endure the enthusiastic presses of even the most energetic dogs. The sound quality is clear and loud enough to be heard from across the room, ensuring that communication is effective and consistent. Engaging and Fun: Using these communication buttons has added a new layer of fun and engagement to our daily routine. Training my dog to use the buttons has been an enjoyable and rewarding experience for both of us. It stimulates his mind, keeps him engaged, and has become a great way to bond and spend quality time together. Versatile and Customizable: One of the best features of these buttons is their versatility. You can program them with any word or phrase that suits your needs and your dog’s abilities. We started with basic commands like “outside” and “treat,” and gradually added more specific requests as my dog became more comfortable with the buttons. The ability to customize the buttons means they can be tailored to fit your dog’s unique personality and learning pace. Positive Behavioral Impact: Since introducing the communication buttons, I’ve noticed a positive change in my dog’s behavior. He seems more confident and less frustrated because he can clearly express his needs. This has reduced instances of barking and other attention-seeking behaviors, making our home more peaceful and harmonious. Value for Money: Considering the impact these buttons have had on our communication and the quality of the product, they offer excellent value for money. They are reasonably priced compared to other pet training tools and have proven to be a worthwhile investment for improving our daily interactions. Conclusion: Overall, I am extremely satisfied with the Dog Buttons for Communication. They are an innovative, effective, and fun way to enhance communication with your pet. The quality, ease of use, and positive impact on behavior make them a standout product for any dog owner looking to deepen their bond with their furry friend. I highly recommend these buttons to anyone who wants to explore new ways of interacting with their dog – they truly are a game-changer!

Easy to set up
Easy to set up and my dog picked up pushing the buttons pretty quick. Trying one or two at a time. The purple button did not record anything. So only have 5. Hopefully the rest will last. I would look at other products since others have mentioned having a faulty button.

Great quality and soud. Buttoms seem hard to press for a cat.
The bottom is really shallow and I dont think my 8lb cat would be able to press it either making it unusable. The positives are that the buttons are big, sound quality is great, colors are nice and discernable, the mat grips the buttons fairly well, and the overall quality is great as well.

Cute, but break after awhile
Love the idea of this. When the weather got colder and I didn't want to leave our main door open for the puppy to get out anymore I got these buttons. It was really easy to set up, I have one taped to the floor near the door for him to go "outside" when he needs to go. He learned relatively quickly that when he hits the button he can go out. After awhile the button got worn down (probably because he sometimes body slams it down) and I had to replace it with a new one, so it's a little cheap quality, but definitely worth it. It has saved us as we were potty training him and he totally gets that the button allows him access to go potty. I ended up bringing one to work and he has started using it there too. The word stickers are good quality as well and stayed once placed on the button, I just wish there was repeats of some for when I replace the button.

Only last a couple of wks. Cheaper buttons are available to try for the 1st time.
I saw that some customers complained of the buttons not working for long but for $16, thought I’d take a chance since my dog & I had never used buttons. Initially I was pleased with the color, size, volume level & easy clean buttons. However the mats that it comes with do not keep the buttons on it at all - the instructions even warn that the mats may not keep the buttons from moving. They may work short term if you have a small cat but will eventually move due to use and foot traffic passing by. Several of my buttons did stop working after a couple of weeks. I could not find any brand that gives button guarantees and this manufacturer doesn’t offer any troubleshooting so I kept looking for sales on other brands. I found some on sale for even less. We just started using them, they are nearly identical to these & work as well. If they don’t last longer & if we decide to continue to use them, I plan on possibly trying a higher end brand.

I'm trying to teach my cat to talk
I'm trying to teach my cat to talk. I've seen people can train dogs to talk a bit using these buttons and thought I'd try to train my cat. She's a cat so she's refusing to learn, but so far the buttons are not at fault. They feel solid and are easy to press which is important because she's under ten pounds. The stickers it comes with are helpful for remembering which buttons are what since I've been carrying some around the house to press to help training. The neoprene pad seems nice although I haven't been using it. It's also super easy to record yourself so you can try reworking the commands or try new ones without a hassle. I'm hoping my cat learns with these, although I pray she never learns the word for 'food' or it'll be the only thing I ever hear.
