This stuff really works!!!
I purchased this glass compound to remove scratches left from a missing wiper blade on my 2016 Audi windshield. after trying 2 different "glass polishes" i said why not give it one more shot, i'm soo glad i did!! I used this compound with my griots garage 6" polisher and meguiars 6" glass polishing pads. at first it looked like it wasn't gonna come out like the other polishes i used before but i was determined to get the scratches out.. i bumped up the speed on the polisher and did numerous cross hatch patterns over the scratches. i then started to see some results.. it took me about 2 hours of polishing but the scratches came out!! I then continued and did the whole windshield.. my windshield looks better now than when i bought the car brand new!! i'll recommend this product to my mother or anyone who asks me or i hear has scratches on glass.. the trick is patience and a good polishing machine and i know the scratches will come out.. i never write reviews on anything i buy but this performed so well i just had to write one.. great job 3M, Great job!!!

Works Well, but Very Slowly
I have some windows with very heavy hard water build up on them. Nothing would take that mineral off and several people authoritatively told me that the glass was etched and could never be cleaned. I took this polish and a high-speed automotive buffer and spent several hours polishing and polishing and polishing. This polish returned the glass to near new condition. The glass is slightly frosted at the corners because I couldn't get the buffer all the way to the edges, but I can see through my window again. Just keep in mind that this polish is very gentle because it has to use such a fine grit to not leave the window with a cloudy haze. Without the electric buffer, I think my impression of this product would be completely different.

Works fantastic!
I was a bit skeptical if this product was going to work for me at first. I had scratches from my windshield wipers that have been there for years, and I just couldn’t seem to get rid of them. I was about to accept that replacing the windshield was my only option, but wanted to give his glass polish a chance since I would prefer keeping my windshield original. From reading the reviews, I knew that I had to prepare myself for about 2-4 hours of polishing to get results. It was time consuming, but I am very happy with the outcome! I still have a little work to do, but it cleared things up amazingly!

I was not able to get this to work for my application. It may work for other applications.
I tried to polish scratches out of a glass aquarium and was not successful. I do not know if this works on other things for other people but it did not work for my application.

Excellent product but expensive.
This is an excellent product and able to remove minor scratches from glass. It goes a long way as you only need a few drops at a time. I use it with an orbital machine with glass polishing pads. Spray lightly with water as it dries to extend polishing time. I was able to remove a wiper scratch from a windshield. I have some other deep scratches on side windows that I am still working on but if you can feel the scratch it may not come out. Also great as a prep for a rain repellent product. Its expensive but worth it.

Did nothing to what I needed done.
This stuff might work awesome if you want to polish a flawless piece of glass, but I was under the impression this can buff out find scratches. It definitely doesn’t. My small dog put scratches on our sliding glass door and I spent 2 to 3 hours using a buffer with this product and I got no results at all. Too expensive of a product to not do anything so I am returning it.

Far better than anything else I have tried
I have a number of vintage cars from the early 1950's and one, a 1952 Arnolt MG has all original glass. With only 63 Coupes built sourcing new glass is impossible while having the glass custom made in extremely expensive. The car recently completed a concours level restoration and the glass, especially the windshield greatly detracted from the appearance. I considered having a windshield made but removing the old one is not an easy task due to the archaic way in which it is mounted requiring the headliner to be removed and stainless steel trim. I tried to polish the glass using a number of glass polishes include that from Griot's garage which received great reviews. After using an entire bottle of glass polish the only effect was that it removed the haziness but had little impact on the fine scratches and shallow chips. It took well over an hour to do so. I just tested the 3M product on a small section of the windshield and after 10 minutes it looks virtually new. All of the fine scratches are gone and the polishing even removed most of the deep scratches along the trim which where caused by wet sanding the aluminum trim. I am sure after a second pass they too will be gone. A word of caution, this is a product for "professionals" hence no instructions which s the case for all 3M's line of professional polishes. (By the way, their line of "perfect-it" products for paint surfaces are outstanding.). When polishing glass it is important to keep the surface wet using a spray bottle with water to mist the surface or the polishing pad. If you use a high torque buffing wheel and do not do this, the heat generated can crack the glass. WIth this product there is no need for a high torque wheel as a standard dual action buffer wit the right pad works fine but will take a bit more time.
