They filter rather slowly, but the water tastes good afterwards - therefore I conclude they are doing a decent job of filtering. Each lasts about a month, I'd say, and then they get super slow. So, stock up on these - always have a replacement at hand.

When I first started using these, they were great but the past few years I noticed a lot of black bits and plastic looking bits coming out when I first open the package. After soaking a lot of this goes away, but it makes me wonder about the safety. Are these little bits getting into our water?

They are so easy to install just soak in water then it screws right in. I have never one to leak as the fit is just right. The filter allows for fast clear water in minutes. Works fine. Easy to install and filters water as we like. We can taste the difference as well. Only quirk is, every few days (like once in 2 weeks) water stops flowing down and I have to pull it out, invert it for a few minutes or shake it and then install it back, then it start working again.

This is the product that I always buy for my family. This is easy to install, and it can last for 3 months. The filter quality is very good; the water tastes great every time! It also filters the water quickly; normally, I can get my water to drink within 1 minute! I’ve been using it over the years. Highly recommended.

I have one of the older versions of the Pur water pitcher purchased in the late 90s. I am so please that the filter still fits in the original models. The flavor is excellent and it filters quickly. NOTE: make sure you run cold water and test the water's temp with your hand before filling the pitcher because warm water will sometimes show particles in the water from the filter. It used to be worse when I used the charcoal filter type of filters.

The quality is as good as it’s ever been. I will buy again.

I prefer the original ones,not the plus type. We are two people at home,the original ones last about 21/2 months. This one slowed down almost completely after two weeks. This happened also months ago when I first tried the plus style so will not buy these again— going back to original if available.

After a week, the water began to smell rotten. Before that, I used regular filters of the same brand, and they are quite normal. I have a water quality tester, and it shows the same results as a regular filter. So why pay more? I could not drink this stinking water.
