My wife wanted clips that don’t keep sliding down her smooth straight hair. She said the clips do the job, especially the ones with many teeth (some have only a few teeth) The clips have a good tight grip.

These small clips are inexpensive and cute, but I found on my straight hair they don't grip well enough to stay in. So I put a hair elastic around the ponytail, and kind of covered the hair elastic with the clip, and it is OK.

Small -about 1.5 inch in size. Sturdy, easy to hide with hair, well made item. love them. I have thin hair and not a lot of it. Some one that has thick long hair might have trouble using them but for small strands perfect.

These hair grabbys are the best! I have long frizzy hair. I wind it up into a bun and hold the ends up, these things hold all day! They are nice and strong.

Yeah, these were not great. I do love that they're metal instead of the usual plastic. That's a huge plus in my book. They get an extra star for that. But in terms of being good hair clips? Not so much.First of all, they were not designed well. The little cat ear clip (bottom on my head in the picture) was impossible to open. It needs something longer to pinch in order to create enough torque to force the claw open. I finally opened it with two hands and then I could pinch it and hold it open with one hand to put it in my hair (getting it out of my hair was difficult). The other clip I tried (top of picture) with the square top was easy to pinch open.The tines of the claw are too short to hold well, at least in my thick hair. The clips did not stay in place even though they did not fall out. They just flopped over within seconds. The tines on most hair clips are rounded, so they hold more hair and have more of a grip on it. These tines are oddly flat and leave a large gap between tine and top.I have no trouble getting other clips to stay. I thought that might be because mostly I buy ones with longer tines, but I have mini clips as well and they're fine. As long as I put the correct amount of hair in them for the clip, they mostly stay put. These did not, as you can see in the picture. For someone with finer hair, these might not be issues, but I have my doubts.

I loved the design. I did not realize how small they were when I ordered, but it was my own issue for not checking. They are good for half-up/half-down hairstyles. I do still wish they were bigger.
