Osprey Airporter Protector for Backpack

We bought this for our latest trip to Spain with our backpacks. It worked for our purpose of protecting our ags for transport so the outside integrity of the bags do not get compromised or stuck in a bag mover along the way. It packs compact and it is very large. The small was more than enough room. It will fit a large cubic bag no problem. The shoulder strap is very durable but if you have a heavy bag it may be a little cumbersome and heavy with the single.strap across the chest. It also has a handle to carry suitcase style. Very nice product, used it on a 3 week trip with multiple flights and bus rides. No problems at all and felt secure about the protection of my backpack. Bag is lightweight and still very strong. One thing to note is that the sizes are quite big. We got one small and one medium size Airporter. The small one easily fits a 60L pack and the medium one fit my 70L pack plus another 25L pack. Having the extra size might be nice in some cases but a baggy cover is not better when travelling. The only complaint I have is that the pocket for the shoulder strap does not close so you have to be careful how you pack it so that it doesn't fall out during travel. If it gets loose it could easily trap on conveyor belts.

This airporter bag is big enough to cover both of my bags, a Kestel 38L & Kyte 38L, with some room so it’s not tight at all. It’s a nice cover and it seems very durable.

The bag is lightweight yet durable. It folds up easily. No issues going through baggage although it is not waterproof and my backpack did get wet (coming home from Iceland - its rainy). My only real complaint is that with only one shoulder strap, it is heavy to carry on one shoulder. This would be a dream if it had 2 shoulder straps.

Works great and had no issues on my first trip with it. I have an Osprey Sirrus 36 and the small fit it with extra room for my hiking boots (and room to spare). While I would have liked the strap to be fully removable, the airline wasn’t concerned. It was easy to carry and so much easier than worrying about all those straps.

Buy 1 size smaller than you think you need. This thing is a must have for checking your backpack. It keeps everything contained and doesn’t hang up on conveyors. Also stores extra stuff too.

Bought this to protect my 42L Cotapaxi Alpa travel backpack in case I need to check it on my flight at the gate due to not sitting in the cabin. Haven't used it yet but tested the fit and it fits the backpack perfectly so I have no doubt this would fit a travel backpack anywhere from 42L to 50L. 50l may be tight depending how overstuff the backpack in but with my 42L there was spare room in this bag so it didn't feel tight. The material of the bag is great and seems like it would hold up being thrown around by the airline baggage handlers. There is a slipin window on the exterior to add a luggage id tag. The shoulder strap can be unhooked on the button and if you had to you could tuck the strap inside the top opening of the bag and the cinch it closed to protect the shoulder strap from snagging. The bag packs into itself and I wouldn't say it's the flattest item ever or smallest. I would say it's the size of a small compressible packing cube. Picture shows it packed away next to a size 10 shoe for comparison. So make sure you have some room in your backpack for it. I've searched for a very long time to find a protective bag for a 42L size travel backpack and this is the only one I found that fit perfectly. Other packable bags from airline baby carriers to duffle bags just didn't fit right since they were either too snug or too much extra room. This is just about perfect. They make larger sizes for bigger bags if needed but this size Small fits my 42L perfectly.

Perfect for my 55l Osprey pack

The perfect size for an Osprey 55L backpack. Fairly lightweight and durable. If you have a pack larger than 55L, I'd buy the size up.

Ik heb hem teruggstuurd want hij voldeed absoluut niet aan mijn verwachting. De bedoeling is dat het je rugzak beschermt bij luchthaventransport, dat de riemen niet komen vast te zitten, maar heeft zelf een loshangende riem die je niet kan verwijderen. Verder nergens mogelijkheid om de hoes aan te passen aan de grootte van de rugzak... nee, echt niet goed

Gekocht voor een osprey farpoint 40 backpack. Voordeel is dat de stof heel stevig is en dat er in d zak nog genoeg ruimte is voor nog losse spullen, plastic tassen of packing cubes. Nadeel is dat ie niet zo klein opvouwt als andere flight bags. Zou ik hem nog eens kopen? Ja, denk het wel

Fits my Osprey Renn 50 backpack well, seems sturdy and well made. All the straps are adjustable although I think I will add a suitcase strap to it for extra security. But am happy with this and think my backpack will be much better protected in this airporter than if it were just shipped without . Will be using it on my next trip!
