best birthday present
this is a fantastic toy! i bought it for my 4 year old and he loves it! It is large and has great accessories and people with it, you even get a bit of 'pier' with it for the ferry to dock at. Amazing detail as usual with playmobil all at a fantastic amazon price. would definately recommend this for any small boy (or girl). only downside (as with all playmobil) is the amount of assembly required before the child can play, although an older child would probably be able to do most of it. If i bought it again I would assemble it before giving it as a present.

Good fun
My 7yr old and 4 yr old grand daughters had a lot of fun playing with this. They know all about ferries as they regularly travel on them so knew how to operate it. They were disappointed it didn't have a car but we will make sure we buy one before their next visit. It went together easily, the 7yr old could do a lot but we did need help with pushing a couple of bits together, they were very stiff. It has made a good sized model that feels sturdy and looks good. It has already been back and forth across various imaginary rivers and seas and will no doubt be doing many more.

Allow at least one hour for decals
I love this toy as I do other playmobil models. See pics I've put up. I would agree it takes a while to make - the main thing is allow 1 HOUR to put the decals on the model. I would recommend doing this (as an adult) it's not really something a child can do - ie yiu want it to look good eg each step etc has it's own sticker so you don't want them wonky. If you do that, the actual clicking together is quite straightforward. As ever, playmobil is great quality, and the more you get, the better it is as the child uses the people / children together on different models.

it's a great acquisition to his play boat collection and his toy ...
My son loves playing with this ferry, it's a great acquisition to his play boat collection and his toy cars. There are lots of little bits which attach which have gradually disappeared, however the ferry is a robust toy which has had plenty of use. This was a good price in comparison to some shops and great because being delivered to home I didn't have to do a secretive shop in front of my son.

Amazing
I have got this boat for my boys 4th birthday. He loves water and any type of floating vehicles. He loves the size of the boat, the size of the people and vehicles. Is not complicated and easy in use. Absolutely perfect for 4 years old. I love the perfect size for little hands, and the fact that it really floats! Definitely would recommend to water lovers kids.

Not my favourite from Playmobil but still good
Top quality as always with Playmobil and exactly as described. Not my favourite Playmobil toy as is large and difficult to store (alike most of the more top-end items in the range) but without the pay-offf of dozens of cool features. It's quite straightforward.

Notworth the mmoney
This is far to expensive for what it is. It constantly has bits falling off it which drives my 5 year old mad. There's not much too it for the money. Really wouldn't recommend it

Great but one small design flaw
Great hit with recipient and his friends Lovely because he could load it with his existing collection of cars. Only problem was loading ramp. The children wanted to push it down manually which snapped it off. I think the winch was a bit fiddly. Not sure how long the lugs on the ramp will stand up to rough treatment. Ferry made many crossings over Christmas.
