Merlin...Legendary Wizard!
With his flowing, snow-white beard, midnight blue, star spangled robe, and gnarly magical staff, Merlin is among the best products produced by Papo, and along with the Zorro figure, he is one of my favorites as well! Merlin is a well-painted little figure. He's so detailed you can see his wise, old eyes gleaming from his hair-framed face. Poised in conjuring a magic flame, he makes a great classroom display item and an imaginative toy for thoughtful, mature children.Unlike many of today's chatty, busy, articulated toys, this little figure, who is frozen in his pose, requires the player to use his / her own imagination in the play time to make the character and story come to life. [Children with very short attention spans may not like this toy.]Fans of King Arthur stories, books, and movies will love this figure! Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings fans might also appreciate this wizardly product.

very detailed for small size
Bought this for a gift for my wife. Overall she like the figurine and put it with her dragons and fairies.I was little disappointed when I open the package and seen haw small it was. The size that was posted on Amazon page was. Product Dimensions - 6.3 x 1.97 x 2.36 inches. What I measured on the height was just a little over 3 inches.Still is a nice little figurine.

good quality, cheaper than Lakeshore castle figures
Nice quality, served our purposes. We use with a wooden castle from Lakeshore Learning. The figures at Lakeshore are sold separately from the castle; didn't come with a choice of characters, and was fairly expensive (like everything from that store). This fit the bill!

Must Have
You cannot have a medieval setting and omit Merlin. My 8yo didn't want this until I explained the concept to him. Still couldn't sell him on the complete Knights of the Round Table and all that, but I believe as he gets a little older he may change his mind.Magic/Fantasy/Medieval=Merlin
