Nice kit, good quality, works great for home use!
This kit comes with a very heavy metal ice press, drip tray, ice cube tray, tongs, a bar mat, a lowball glass, and a wooden box to store the kit. It is well worth the value, especially for the size of the metal press that you are getting. It presses ice very nicely by conducing heat away from the ice cube, into the metal, melting it into a sphere. This process chills the metal press and only really will press 1 cube over a few minutes, so this is best for hobby/home use, rather than a commercial setting. You can run the press under warm water to press more cubes at a time. I like the box and the while kit in general. My only critiques would be that (1) I wish that the ice cube trays would have more structural support and a better lid; and, (2) the tongs are not very strong or useful and would be better if they had tines. These critiques do not detract from my opinion of the value, quality of the product, and ease of use.

Watch the magic happen
After visiting a distillery and seeing one of these in action, I knew my father-in-law would love it for his old fashions that he makes when we all get together. He was like a kid with a new toy and had to show all his children and grandkids how cool this is. He even took it in their camper on their travels.Getting the ice blocks out of the cubes does take a little finagling, but once you set the block in the ice ball maker and put the top on, the magic happens! The more ice balls you try to make in a row, the slower the process is. After 3 ice balls, we decided that we needed to give it a rest and let it warm back up to at least room temperature before making another one.We like that it comes in its own case to protect everything and keep everything together. My husband did have me buy more ice cube molds so that his father would have enough cubes when everyone visits to make enough ice balls. The ice cub molds are deep so it does take at least overnight for the water to freeze to make the ice balls.

This ice block press is inexpensive compared to others
This is a great buy if you are looking for an ice press .,I bought the diamond mold and it is fantastic. Well worth the $107 by far. Very high quality materials are used. Very happy with it and I didn’t have to spend $400-900 for an ice press.

Cool ice balls
I was so happy to find this on Amazon at a very reasonable price. In the past, these icemakers have been so expensive. My only complaint is that it doesn’t come with the actual ice molds. They are sold separately. I bought this as a gift for my husband and we had to wait a couple more days to get the ice molds. Other than that it’s cool works great.

Awesome
Must used larger square trays to get a nice round sphere. Great price compared to others and works great.

Nice toy for the first ball - not the next.
I saw an ice ball maker like this in a bar, and thought it would make a nice addition. There are a couple of things you should know before buying this unit.First, if you want spherical ice balls, you'll need to buy an oversized ice cube tray that makes cubes measuring 2 1/2" in all three dimensions. If you use the typical 2" large cubes, you'll get a flat side(s). (Curiously, having a flat side makes it easier to extract the ball from the mold). You also can't put multiple cubes in the mold and have them magically melt together.Second, the first ice ball took about 5 minutes to go from cube to ball. The next one took about 40 minutes. So, make them in advance if you anticipate any demand. This is a toy - it's not a serious tool.
