Used a little Boss Green and hemp then hand screwed the garden tap Into this and job done first time and no leaks .

Comes with Olive & Nut, One hope that I had is the mounting base would be more of a solid wider base & longer depth from the pipe fixing, if you fix it to uneven bricks when tightening the Nut it might come into contact with the bricks, I was also concerned how one would make sure its lagged for an outside tap if the depth away from the wall was very narrow, No BS numbers but EU Numbers on the main unit only the Nut not the body

I purchased this 15mm Compression Elbow for installing an outside tap, and I’m extremely disappointed with its performance. While it’s made of brass, the quality feels subpar. The compression joint doesn’t seal properly, and even after carefully tightening it, I experienced constant leaking. I double-checked the installation, making sure everything was fitted as per the instructions, but the leak persisted. This is incredibly frustrating, especially for a plumbing fitting that’s meant to be leak-proof and secure. The 15mm x 1/2 inch female wall plate elbow also didn’t fit my system as expected. The threading was rough and didn’t align well, making it difficult to achieve a proper connection. This resulted in further complications during installation, and I had to go out and buy a replacement from a more reliable brand. For a product that’s supposed to be easy to use and reliable, this fitting failed in both areas. I would strongly recommend spending a bit more on a higher-quality compression elbow to avoid the hassle of leaks and poor performance.
