Buy it, just buy it
Just get it. This has more features, stability, functionality, and versatility than any other video tripod system at this price point. My application is digiscoping and I will 100% back this product. Be wary that it is rather tall/long, so if you are flying with it, check the restrictions on size for luggage. Very good system.

Excellent tripod for the price and great customer support too.
I bought one of these way back in 2019. I wanted a robust fluid head tripod on a budget and gave this a try. It did everything I needed it to and I never bothered to upgrade it even as I expanded upon my kit quite a lot. Smooth movement, very stable and easy to work with.I lost a piece of it a little while ago and reached out to Cayer's customer support to see about getting it replaced. They were super helpful and took care of me right away. Figured I'd give em a good review in return.Anyway, the only cons to this tripod are it's a pretty heavy unit and its minimum height is still pretty tall. If you want a really low, awkward shot you can always disconnect the center piece but you'll need a screwdriver and possibly a 7mm wrench to undo the hardware in the middle. Then you can get it quite low but it isn't designed for that the way some more compact tripods are.The trade-off for that is this thing can go super dang high to the point where you cant even reach the camera and the weight means it's very stable in the wind etc.If you're moving around a lot you may want something smaller but for what it's worth, I shot a feature length run n gun documentary with it, where I was constantly scrambling up and down hills in the grass and woods. Did the trick!!

Cayer BV30L - Inexpensive Video Tripod that gets the job done
The Cayer BV30L is a well made video tripod. It is stable and has good dampening. The tripod is very stable, but not especially easy to move around. It is very good for a fixed position camera. It also has good rubber feet, no spiked feet for outdoor use are included. The lateral dampening is perhaps a bit stiff, but makes for smooth panning. The maximum height is just right, it gives a stable POV just above most peoples heads, giving a clear view over standing or walking people. The stability opens up more possibilities than video, such as time-lapse photography or long exposure times.Pros:This tripod is Stable with a capital "S"! No additional weight is needed to hold it down. The inclusion of an extra mounting plate and wrenches is a great bonus as is the inclusion of a wrench stored right where you need it on the tripod head. The included, padded carry bag is well balanced and has an internal pocket for the spare plate, wrenches and what have you.The tripod need no disassembly to fit in the carry bag, only the panning lever needs to be folded down. All of the parts fit and work well, the adjustments work smoothly and securely.Cons:Not easy to move about or to make even small changes in height while filming. For this, you would need a different, likely less stable tripod. Not especially compact or lightweight, it would not be a good choice for a long hike on foot.Overall, the Cayer BV30L is an excellent tripod for fixed position video work. It provides a very stable platform with smooth panning for any camera you're likely to throw at it. It is my best tripod for video work.

Excellent
This Tripod is excellent. it looks professional and it's very sturdy. I like it a lot I'm thinking of purchasing another one. The only thing I don't like about it is that the tool that comes with it to tighten the screw on the plate that goes in the camera has no place on the Tripod itself to store. So, I don't know where I put it and now, I use a dime to tighten the camera screw. Not a big deal. I Still give it 5 stars.

Best video tripod for the price
As a self-employed videographer, I am always on the looking out quality equipment at a good price and this tripod did not disappoint. It is plenty sturdy to support a DSLR rig, and it has more than enough variation in height to suit all my video needs, from interviews to events. The head is easy to level, and the pan and tilt is fairly smooth but not perfect. If you are going to be following lots of motion, it might be worthwhile to invest in a higher quality tripod head, but if you are mostly going to be shooting static shots, than the stock head is more than adequate. I also really appreciate that this tripod uses a standard Manfrotto plate instead of a proprietary plate, meaning that I can easily switch between this and my other tripods without issue.I do find that the screws holding the central stabilizer braces can come loose, and do require the occasional bit of tightening, but at this price, this is not enough to ding it for. Just keep an extra baggy of screws and nuts in your gear bag, just in case. All said, I cannot imagine finding a better tripod than this for the price. I have bought two of them already, and would not hesitate to buy more if the need ever arises.
