Cut the spring to avoid issues.
1- get small cable cutter pliers and cut out the spring that pushes the lashes forward, this spring causes the lashes to overlap under the hood and it takes 2 people to close the hood which is inconvenient. 2. You need a 1/2 ratchet and #14 wrench, keep OEM screws, dispose the screws it comes with. 3 you need to push on it to turn the key, every time you unlock or lock. Other than that pretty sturdy just a couple mods to work on.

Tight Locks
Fits JEEP JL 2024, difficult to mount the bolts do to ocword bolt placement in the JEEP design, might need to tinker with the locks by bending the metal bar inside the lock to adjust the ability to turn the key smoothly. I needed to because the key bent because it was to tight, but after that it was easy to turn and lock.

Hood key latch for Jeep
Love them. Real easy to install. Fit perfectly. The key to turn is a little hard to turn. Will try silicone spray.

good quality perfect fit
The Wrangler locking hood latches are of very good quality. They are more finished looking than the original latches. They fit perfectly and work properly. To install you need a 13mm wrench for the part that installs on the body and a 10mm socket for the part that installs on the hood. The Wrangler does not have much room to get the washer and nuts on the bolts. I placed a damp sponge in the opening below where the nuts screw onto the bolts so i could retrieve the nuts when dropped.

Looks OEM, but already rusting.
Overall the latches work well and I like the OEM look. I would give it 4stars for that. However only one month into the first winter the metal components (springs and pin) are already rusting. 👎. Looks like I’ll be taking these off and putting the originals back on.
