Great item to stop dog over gulping water and no more mess over the kitchen floor. Seems expensive but worth the money. Would recommend

So I thought this was a great idea. My Malamute spends a few hours in his crate on Saturdays. I thought this would mean I could leave water in there. He is a clumsy oaf mostly. However, I think he saw this unspillable bowl as a krypton factor challenge.Off I went to work happy in the knowledge he'd have water. It lasted about 25 minutes. Firstly he pushed the float down with his nose but decided there wasn't enough water in it. So he put his foot in....."ooooh that was interesting it's got a moving bit. I wonder if I can get it out". He lifted up the bowl dropped it down again it hardly leaked, lifted it again threw it against the side of the crate and it landed upsidedown. 1 litre of water spilled across my hardwood floor. But the challenge wasn't over. He decided chewing the lid would be fun, ate the water filter. When I got home this is what was left. Lesson learned. It's not Malamute proof. Never mind! 🤦🏻‍♀️ p.s. he's been shitting plastic for 24 hours.

My cocker spaniel always drinks water like he's bobbing for apples. Ears, nose, chin and neck all sopping wet, and inevitably that's when he comes to give kisses and love, dripping water all over us.This bowl is amazing. The floating plate means he now laps up water when he drinks, rather than waterboarding himself. Wet ears and dripping water everywhere are things of the past.It's well made and really sturdy, easy to put together and easy enough to use that my super-stupid 12 year old pooch figured it out quickly. Its shape means it fits into a corner so there's no round bowl sliding around.Highly recommend

On the positive - the bowl does work although it took quite some time for my boxer to get used to the idea that there was actually water in the bowl. On the negative - the instructions really are useless. Dismantling the bowl is quite difficult because the rim is very tight, there's no detail as to which way up the 'filter' should be fitted. Felt side up or down? Is the filter there to filter the water or to filter food deposits? in the box there's an additional item, plastic stick for what? Maybe to help remove the lid?Additional Note.The seller followed up with a photo of the way in which the filter should be placed and an offer of full refund. Still don’t know what the plastick ‘tool’ is for but the bowl does work for my messy Boxer and can’t fault the supplier for customer service.

Great water bowl, very useful for Motorhome as it really doesn’t spill. Our dog got used to it straight away.

This is a great device. Good quality and feels as if it will last a long time.It has all but stopped our floor getting soaked every time the dogs drink from it.There was no training required as they instinctively knew what to do.It works well in the car as well with no spills.

Brought this for our 11 week old Japanese akita as he was dribbling water all over the floor or tipping a normal bowl over.Saw this and thought, great, no spills this will sort the issue.It arrived and I couldn't wait to get it set up this was easy to wash and set up I think this is the only plus.There's a filter that apparently needs replacing after a few weeks.Put it down for pup to drink from great no spills.Next minute he comes to me with the top rim of the bowl in his mouth and he is soaked.He found it very easy to take apart after just a few minutes.Was pushing the floating part down to get water quicker and realised oh this moves so took it apart.Needless to say we won't be using this. It was not no spills for us. Waste of money as lid comes of too easily
