As a worry wart of a mom that I am, having this is such a stress relief to know the quality of the breast milk I will be giving my baby will be full of some needed nutrients!My friend has mentioned great things on this product so I am looking to using it in less than a month!

Bought these just bc I was curious about how much protein was in my milk, it was easy to use just dip it in for 30 seconds and you’re good to go and read it. They sent a little reusable bag and a pack of daily reminder cards that I thought was kinda cute. Mostly idk how accurate it is but either way it could just show you what more to add to your diet or suppliments each day.

Well, this is the perfect product to have in your cabinet to see if your nutrients are making its way into your milk supply. When in doubt just take a quick dip!

There was not a lot of included information and I'm never sure how much to trust these. I'm not sure if the nutrient levels are actually borderline/slightly low and if so, what should I do with this information. If they are accurate, it's helpful, but I'm a little skeptical. It's also hard to justify spending this much if I'm not confident in the results.

Useful as a lactation consultant

These are very easy to use. I caught my breast milk in a shield as I was nursing on one side (a cup would do, too), and even though it was a small amount, I was able to lay the strip across it to get the readings. If I pumped, I would have submerged it in the milk but I don't think it would have mattered. These strips measure for protein, calcium and zinc. My levels all fell into medium to high concentrations. I can't say exactly how accurate this is, but I do try to eat a very good diet especially while pregnant/nursing, so I'm pleased that it seems to be working.

So these are definitely interesting to use, but I would honestly take the results with a grain of salt. I think the most important for the health and well being of a breastfed baby is the vitamin d and iron content of your breastmilk. I only say that because that is what my pediatrician is most concerned with and what lost breastfed babies need to be supplemented with outside of breastfeeding. That being said, these are fun to see where your breastmilk falls in line with the nutritional values or tests for, but for the price tag of $50 it’s not that serious.
