This is one of the best laptop holder in the market. I tried some in the past and this one stands out for it's sturdiness and user friendliness.

The media could not be loaded. See the video, this snazzy little device lifts up the laptop and tilt it to the required angle. This is great for me as..1. The fan is on the bottom. To if the laptop is flat on the table then the table get rather warm, and the laptop starts to overheat.2. When it is tilted the laptop stays cooler a lot longer. So..3. The fan does not run as much and4. That means the battery lasts longer.5. I can tilt it to make it easy to see thecscreen6. I find having it at an angle makes it more comfy for my to type.All round a great device. Very portable. And very light.,

My work laptop keeps overheating, and I gave my laptop riser away to my daughter, so I thought this would be a good way to keep my laptop raised off my desk so it could keep cool. Plus, when I opt to use my laptop screen (I use external monitors and a external keyboard/mouse) it can be in a better position.And this works, it hold my laptop securely, it has a range of angles, and my laptop stays cool as there's plenty of airflow.I've given this three stars as it's pretty average. If you move the laptop or stand it collapses and you have to reconfigure it, it doesn't take long at all as the system folds and is put into position very quickly. The folding nature of the stand means it is great for travel as it folds into itself and takes up very little space.Mine has a little bit of a wonk to it, I probably wouldn't notice it it it weren't the the fact my stand is inf ront of something with very straight lines, and it does bug me a bit.In a nutshell: it's metal, it's solid, it does the job - but there may be better solutions out there. For a stand that doesn't require lots of laptop adjustments this is good option.

I got this stand to use when playing games that cause my laptop to overheat and it absolutely works for that purpose. I did notice a difference in how hot my laptop gets and how long the fan takes to speed up with the riser. I use a 14 inch MacBook Pro and have no issues with the sizing of this stand.I do think that it would have been better if the smallest angle was even smaller as I do find that typing can cause strain on my wrist even at this angle. There are 6 different angles to have this stand at, I personally wouldn't use anything steeper than the third slot if typing on the actual keyboard.However, the higher angles can be useful for rising the laptop if you are using it like a monitor using an external keyboard and mouse or if you are watching something without needing to type.This stand is really small when folded so it's easy to put away when you're not using it, it does come with a dust bag which isn't great quality but it does the job.The stand itself isn't premium quality either, it can be a bit tricky to line up the bars when choosing the angle and there isn't actually a locking mechanism for the width of the stand but neither of these things matter when your laptop is on the stand.It feels quite secure, I doubt that it would collapse as it feels quite sturdy once your laptop is on it, even at the highest angle.Overall, I am happy with the quality, I don't think it needs to be perfect in order to do a good job but I would still bear in mind that it does feel a bit cheap.This stand is great for what I needed it for, it packs away easily, doesn't take up much space and being able to adjust it is useful. Whilst I would prefer for it to have a smaller angle and to feel a bit nicer quality, I think it's a great alternative to more traditional laptop risers and a good option for if you like to keep your desk clear or tend to move your work space around.

Ordered this for review to bring my laptop up the same level as my monitors. Very impressed with this stand upon opening. It feels very sturdy and I like the metal construction. It folds out very easily and locks into place quickly. It has 6 height adjustments. It's sturdy enough to use the laptop (on the lower heights) whilst on the stand, despite the fact that I use a full size keyboard and mouse and just need this to hold my laptop. If you plan to move this around a lot, note that it will lose it's height adjustment. It's not made for moving around constantly. Once set up, expect to leave it in situ.The rubberised grips do an adequate job of keeping the laptop in place but I feel these could be more grippy. I appreciate it's so easy to setup and fold away for travel and that it comes with a travel pouch. I also like that it has a small footprint on the desk so I can know store the docking station effectively under the laptop.At £12.95, I think this is an excellent solution and perfect for travel too. It's very well made and I have had no issues with prolonged use so far.
