Great value, good for messy house!
Brilliant hoover, very good suction and gets rid of all the tiny dog hairs which usually stick on the carpets. Opted for this hoover for the heavier duty jobs, we have an indoor rabbit as well as cat and dog, and our cordless Dyson v10 just wasn't doing the job anymore. This feels so much more powerful, albeit heavier and bigger, not as easy to navigate as the lightweight cordless, but if you need a good, effective hoover, this is the business! Definitely recommend. Paid £69 and it's worth every penny so far!

Great hoover! Very happy!
Great hoover! Was a bit unsure how it would be as it’s a good price but after already reading some reviews I thought I’d give it a go and am really impressed. Easy to put together, cord length reaches nearly all of my downstairs so don’t have to swap plugs to do other rooms. It is a standard hoover size but quite lightweight it is easy to carry up and down the stairs. I have a cat and three kittens currently and my Henry just wasn’t doing the job. This hoover picked up their hair’s fantastically I am so impressed! Gave my carpets a new lease of life look fresh and clean with carpet lines! Very impressed and happy with my purchase for the price I paid. Only thing I would say is on the hard floor setting it is quite different to push and rotate but still works great. Would defiantly recommend.

Decent cleaner...
I bought this specifically to clean inside my car and was attracted by the reviews and price. It's fair to say this is a decent cleaner in this price bracket and does the job. The long cord is welcome and suction is decent. However, the hose is annoyingly short and makes cleaning inside the car more difficult than it should be...so, it's decent but not perfect!

Value for money
If you're looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner without breaking the bank, the Russell Hobbs Hypermax 700w is a fantastic choice. The suction is exceptional—check out the photo of the dust it picked up from just one clean of a small townhouse. I was stunned by how much better it performed compared to my old vacuum. The long lead means no more frequent socket changes, and it was easy to assemble and use. Not too heavy and compact enough to store away easily. It looks smart, the build quality is great and the lights are a nice touch. Perfect for those who don't have back issues but for anyone with mobility concerns, a lighter model might be better. If not - I can highly recommend this. A luxury vacuum cleaner for a budget price!

lots of suction for a 700watt motor. Impressive
used this for a couple of months now, and still impressed. Last hoover i had was a 1800watt vax and picked up great, i tried a few of these new 700/800 watt hoovers but they just dont pick up the same, This one does Very happy with the suction and even on a deep pile wool carpet it lifts the pile and cleans deeper than most hoovers. Great for tool storage on the hoover also, no more looking in cupboards for the tools. The light on the front is bright enough to see under chairs and tables, so never any bit missed IMO the hoover is very light even my mrs says she thinks its light weight compared to the old vax one My only con for it is the handle to attach the tools to is short, im 6ft 3" and i have to bend over to hoover round the skirtings, if there was an extension pole to go with it it would be a 10/10 You can buy extensions from amazon though so not a total loss Overall 9/10 for this, half the price of alternatives but twice the suction. well pleased

Very rugged expensive look
Having purchased the repackaged (originally a Dust Devil) Athena a few months ago I didn't know you could buy this slightly more expensive model until recently. Mine is pictured after use! It's impressive. I like the more sensible cylinder with wider and easily unjammed openings inside. So far I've picked up chocolate wrappers and grass on the carpet without blockages. It looks and feels like a more expensive model. Then there's the tools. The cable is roughly 30 feet long. The suction is strong and it has floor level settings plus a handy light some old Hoovers used to come with. Easy to use. Might by heavy for some. Cylinder comes off easily. Has a foot level switch and pad for unlocking the angle to 'vacuum mode'. Wished I'd spotted it before ordering the other one but it's in a drop down option on the page not immediately obvious.

Vacuum needs 2 years of therapy to come to terms with dirt and it's own purpose in life
Weak and feeble. Really diasppointed at how poor the suction is. Paid the extra £10 for the "Hypermax" version thinking I'd have to fight it from ripping up the carpets it was so strong. Instead, it feels like I'm coercing it to even go near any dirt/crumbs "Please clean my carpet, don't be scared, you can do it..." All the while, the pointless headlight feature illuminates all the dirt I can already see it isn't picking up. Apologies, pointless feature is rude. It's really useful for when there's another vacuum approaching in the dark on the other side of the house.

Great hoover.
For the money this is an amazing hoover. The suction is really powerful. Light is great as i have a dog & really shows any hairs. Lead is long so I can hoover the stairs without having to plug into another socket. Very pleased.

I have had this for a while now. I always find it incredibly difficult to push. It's like there is a break on it or something. I thought maybe that was the way it was supposed to be. Then my sister came to visit and thought it weird. Now I'm wondering if there is something wrong with it. I have never had a vacuum cleaner that is so difficult to push. Anyone find that as well? Or was I send a faulty one? Or is there a brake on it somewhere?
