Huge improvement in hot weather operation. The DR770X replaced my A119 as it would stop recording and not give you any warning. Easy set up and big improvement not having to use the old battery minder from BlackVue as the camera monitors the car’s battery. BlackVue has a OBDII power adapter for $26, worth looking into so you don’t have to use fuse taps. WARNING - DON’T RUN THE REAR VIDEO CABLE OVERHEAD TO THE BACK. IT WILL INTERFERE WITH THE SIDE AIRBAG. Run the wire along the bottom door sill, there’s enough wire to do this. Or buy a longer cable. The BlackVue app - Some complain about the app, I had no issues with it. But I don’t have the cloud set up, just WiFi. The price of this camera is less than my insurance deductible and is a great investment to protect yourself from fraud, liars, and road ragers.

It worked for a while. I CANCELED MY SUBSCRIPTION and will be tossing the cam since it's too late to return. The camera works well, never had an issue. The issue that people should be aware of is the constant changes to the app. Sometimes you can't log on, sometimes you can't manage your cloud storage and sometimes they make changes that don't make sense. Good luck on getting customer service from Blackvue. Best to rely on Amazon's CS and their warranty. Don't trust Blackvue, for the money you pay for their cams and the subscription you should get better service. Or at least an app that doesn't prevent you from managing your cloud storage, and so you end up with a full cloud and then remote uploads are useless.

Works really well, nice images and easy to use

I can't say that I would recommend this dashcam. I bought it on Amazon and had it professionally installed. I then drove home, downloaded the app, set up an account, and that's where things came to a halt. I spent hours and hours of a frustrated experience trying to get the camera to connect to the wifi. I watched countless youtube videos, and as I last resort I called customer service. The message I got from them repeatedly is we're all busy and call back another time. So- there IS NO customer service. Then an engineer friend of mine offered to help and spent two hours trying to get it to connect. Finally he set up an account on his android phone and got it to connect, then he signed out and I signed in on my IPhone and it was connected. He couldn't even tell me what exactly he did different on his phone than mine and wasn't sure what the problem was. I don't believe it was the difference in phones. So, I would look for another dashcam that's easier to use. And maybe one with actual customer service.

Only worked every now and then, even when hardwired. Returned and went with a different brand.
