Being from New Mexico, I get a lot of hot summers, but this past summer was very, very warm for the area, and a lot suffered for it. I was finding it so hard to get out and do anything, until I found this product. Replenishing it in cold water 10 minutes before a bike ride, it would last for the entire ride- at least 2 hours. It’s ingenious and now I find myself making plans for next summer, things that I know I’ll be able to do thanks to a Koolgator! Seriously, you’ll thank yourself so many times for getting this. I also used to it do yard work, gardening, anything outside. It’s legitimately a life saver and an attitude saver (in my case).

I was suffering in this summer heat at my horse riding lessons. This really helped me survive the summer. I had to cut a few lessons short because I overheated so badly. This really helped keep me cool. I gave 4 stars because I feel it could be vastly improved by stitching in multiple small compartments (i.e. 5-6 vertical seams) to hold the beads in place so they don’t all slide down to the lowest point. When I’m riding everything ends up on my neck and chest and by the end of my ride my front side is soaked. If you are doing something like gardening this would probably happen to you as well. I just readjust it and that’s fine but a few stitches would make this product vastly better! It would make the beads more evenly dispersed during activities and prevent sliding. If I ever buy another one I’ll probably do this myself before the beads are hydrated.

I have been using cooling neck wraps for years and my old ones finally wore out so it was time for a change. I bought some of the cheaper wraps but they were very disappointing. They didn't have nearly enough of the absorbent gel in them and they would dry out too fast. I threw them out and bought three KOOLGATOR wraps and they are fantastic. They have a lot of absorbent gel in them and they soak up water way faster than the cheap ones. It definitely pays to spend a little more to get a quality product.I do have one small complaint: the snap that holds the ends together is too weak. When running hard to chase down a ball on the tennis court, the snap sometimes comes open. That is very distracting when in the middle of a point. If not for that I would have given them a five star rating.

These neck wraps were easy to moisten (a bit drippy, but I was gardening in 97 degree weather, so I didn't mind that). But helped with keeping us cool.My caution to buyers is the charge for expedited shipping.... it was more that a 3 pack of the wraps.I never choose expedited shipping, so it must have been too easy to miss that that options was being picked.Long story short, my $26 purchase cost me $62. Just be careful what you ask for.Again the product works well.

Great quality love the snaps to keep it in place. We’ve used these a lot this summer and keep them ready to wear in a sandwich bag in refrigerator or cooler. Follow directions to get the gel activated because they come flat and soak in water for 15-20 minutes for the gel beads to grow. Highly recommend for quick cooling but it doesn’t last more than an hour so replacing them is necessary for long times outside

This coolagator neck gel cooler works very well and keeps me cool for 30 minutes walking my dog in the summer heat. Because it is wet, the cooling effect lasts longer than the other neck gel cooler I bought. Of the 3-pack of coolers one had a defective snap, it would not stay closed. Otherwise I'd give it 5 stars.

I bought this product for when I can't use my electric neck fan. Aka times when I'll be bending over and exercising. So what I did like about it was the quality was excellent and the material was smooth & non-itchy. However I had to wait 15mins to get it inflated which was annoying to say the least. After using it to do lawn work I let it dry on my tower fan for a week. I couldn't put this on my air vent because of my dogs. I liked the pattern of pinks that it had and I don't regret buying this. I just wish it dried faster. When using it though it gave me a cooling sensation but I had to turn it over and over. It definitely helped cool my neck but not my body while I had to move around a lot. It didn't slide around. I think it's more for around the house/yard and not for public use, mainly because it can get your shirt wet. I don't think it'll cool you for very long without rehydration. I've had one in the past that was hand made. I've lost it since then and i will say it had no where near the nice quality of this one. It feels like a orbeeze filled sock when inflated. And like a sock with tiny rocks in it when it's not.

I wish it would hold the coldness longer. I use it outside working in the yard and it helps for awhile. When it stops being as cold as I want I just place it again in an Ice bath in a baggie and let it get cold and put it back on.

Product works well but would prefer to see some plain colours without patterns .
