Great for travels
I've been into photography for quite some time now and have been looking for a camera since I started. I have done hours of research and came into conclusion that this was the one, as it was a reasonable price yet pretty strong for its type. The main thing that made me decide to get this one was the focus ability and let me tell you, it is insane how well it works. It focus very quickly and it is almost always spot-on on fast moving targets. The kit lens that came with it (18-135mm 3.5-5.6) also has pretty good sharpness to it pretty much the whole way, only complaint is the small aperture which leaves a lot to be desired. But nothing a prime lens can't solve. Only thing that I don't like about the camera is the fact that it overheats very quickly. It only lasts about 40m at 4K 60fps continuous shooting. So if you mainly want to do video, go for the FX30 as overheating is not an issue on that one. And finally, the area where it shines. It is very portable; bigger than its predecessors but almost not noticeable. I can go a whole day of shooting photos while walking around town, something that bothered me with my old DSLR full frame Canon. overall great small camera with great portability. Strongly recommend it.

Insane upgrade from my previous camera
I previously had a ~10 year old Canon Rebel model, I don't remember exactly which, I've since sold it. I certainly knew camera technology had improved in the last 10 years, but this is insane. Everything about this camera is leaps and bounds better than my previous, and it makes getting good shots almost too easy. One of the first things I did with it was photograph a wedding, and almost every photo came out perfectly stable and in-focus. I purchased this with the 18-135 kit lens, which I HIGHLY recommend. I know kit lenses are generally not great, but this one is a major exception. Unless you're buying this unit for the body itself and already have an assortment of lenses, the 18-135 is basically magic for a kit zoom lens, as far as I'm concerned. I also supplemented it with a Sigma 30mm F1.4 for nice portrait shots, which equally did a lovely job. I did notice the kit lens focused slightly faster, but I don't know if that's the lens or the camera responsible for that.

Awsome Camera
Sony A6700 has a compact and lightweight design makes it suitable for on-the-go shooting without compromising on functionality. It has a good image quality with improved low-light performance and dynamic range. The color reproduction and sharpness are also very good. Its advance autofocus technology, rapid burst shooting capabilities, and enhanced video recording are really good. The inclusion of advanced image processing technology is likely to result in swift and accurate performance in various shooting scenarios.I am still fiddling with its menu system (coming from Nikon cameras).

Camera Overheats Inside 15 Minutes
I wanted a camera that could be used for still photography and vlogging when needed. The a6700 can supposedly do 4k 120 for under $2,000, so I bought it. Still photos were great, very clear and the ai tracking was a neat feature. Video however is another story. The camera does not have a fan and is compact, it gets very hot very fast. Could not hold it or get it off the Gimbal on the second attempt. Both tries at filming 60-120 in 4k led to overheating, shutdown, and very fast battery drain. Sony should have tested this or worse knew about it and released the camera version of the Ford Pinto on the market. There are other products near or just as capable within the same price point and I would recommend looking elsewhere than the a6700 and the extreme overheating.
