The brass roll is lovely and thin enough to cut with kitchen scissors (which is all I have at the moment). I've already made a "cola pen" nib for calligraphy out of a small piece and it works beautifully. I'll be experimenting with different sizes and shapes of nib over the coming days. It's exactly what I was looking for.

Pretty good stuff, but don't underestimate how short 1000mm is - I didn't quite have enough for the project I was doing - my own fault I know. But, nonetheless brilliant bit'o'brass.

I've been able to make several obsolete electrical sockets and resurrect vintage electrical equipment using strips of this. I pour hot glue into a mould (around the plug) lined with vaseline. When the hot glue has cooled and set, the holes for the prongs of the plug can be lined with strips of this brass sheet and wires soldered onto the protruding ends. Hey presto, a new socket.
