Q: Can this be cut into two 4 foot pieces?

I don't know to be honest. I would really worry that they would all unravel if cut. They seem to have a sheath covering what ever is holding the slats together, so if cut, may all come off. I will say that they may actually be able to be folded though.

Q: I'm thinking of placing it my backyard, directly on the ground. Would that be feasible?

I have rolled out 3 sections in my back yard. They are directly on the grass. I am thinking I might get some tent spikes I’ve seen at Walmart to help keep them in place as the snow starts to fall.

Q: Is it already assembled? Or do I need to assemble it myself.

8ft longx17in wide .and the hard cedar planks holds up to rain or sun.
