Good small set, but other two Star Wars mechs are better.
This is one of three mech sets produced by Lego for the Star Wars sub theme so far. The design of all three follows a similar template to the Marvel mechs that have been around for some years. The sets are perfect gift / small reward fodder for younger fans and offer the usual quality Lego build experience. If picking between the three Star Wars mech sets, this one is probably the least desirable. This is mainly due to the mini figure choice, a rather bog standard imperial storm trooper that is bound to be included in lots of other Lego sets in years to come (although it does have updated body and leg prints over previous versions). The mech is similarly bland, obviously being limited by the colour scheme of the trooper it is based on. It carries a brick built gun that integrates the stud shooter well and has good articulation for posing. That said, it is significantly more bulky than the Marvel mechs. There is a nice printed tile featuring an imperial logo which could be attractive to those who reuse pieces for their own creations. I got this for my youngest (5) who loves it and mainly really wanted a storm trooper figure. If it weren’t for that we would likely have skipped it in favour of the other two mechs which have much more desirable figures. Of course, we ended up getting all three!

It's LEGO...
I mean it is what you expect... My 7 year old loves these Lego sets, they are easy to follow and build.

Box was a bit beaten up, but that realistically does not matter to me. Got as a gift for my nerd bf, who loves it. Great quality, very fun to build. Looks great on his star wars shelf. And surprisingly cheap too.

Great little lego gift
This was bought for an 11 year old with autism to calm him when he got agitated. It did the job and he was over the moon with his figure. Lego is so good and these smaller figures are good stocking fillers
