Southern Foam Memory Foam Mattress Topper with Cover, 4 Inch, UK Single

If you are looking for a mattress topper please look no further. I have bought several mattress toppers over the years (memory foam, duck feathered and some others types) and so far for the price, this is the best I have found. I always go for the 4-inch thickness because of the support that it gives to our body but more specifically to our backs. My wife has serious back problems so we buy new mattresses and toppers more often than the average person, in order to never let the mattress or topper degrade to a condition that could worsen her back problems. My wife said that it definitely helped her a little bit but that can also be the placebo effect of having a new topper, however for me personally what it helped more was with not feeling so tired in the morning or in an uncomfortable position like it happened with the duck feathered one, specially legs, at least in my case. I also feel that my sleep has been more recomforting and of better quality than with the previous topper. Definitely a very good buy for this price range. Of course, you will find better mattress toppers however, you will rarely find this quality for this price.thank you for taking time to read this review. I’d been struggling with waking in the night with a painful hip and then being unable to drop back off. I was in two minds about buying a new bed but thought I’d give this a try whilst on offer.It arrived vacuum packed and despite having read how it would expand into shape - taking up to 24 hours - I was concerned about some of the other reviews suggesting it never ‘took shape’. When unwrapped, I thought those concerns were going to be well founded. However, within 4 hours it was pretty much perfect.There were also mixed reports about the smell - I didn’t find it particularly strong but there was a mild smell which disappeared within a week.Comfort and support is fantastic. Over the last fortnight by sleep and comfort has improved immeasurably. No more waking with hip pain and when I do wake I actually feel that my whole body is firmly supported but with immense cushioned comfort. A fantastic purchase.

Firstly I would like to say the mattress is very comfortable. However, the smell of chemicals is overpowering. I had it laid out in the spare bedroom for a week with the window open, I washed the cover and it was still smelling. A few days later I put it on the bed, however the mattress was sliding over the mattress underneath and my sheet was nearly coming off. The next day the mattress cover was taken off...problem solved. It still smells a little but it’s so comfortable I think I can put up with it. Oh another thing, I don’t know IF it is memory foam or just foam though (looks like just foam but who knows).

Tried a few different mattresses and no matter how firm, my back always ached as they all seemed too soft. This has severe health implications over time, not to be taken lightly or ignored. Poor sleep hinders everything else massively.Now I sleep on one of these directly on the floor; No mattress or bed frame, I just stuffed the memory foam into a duvet cover and that's my new "mattress".It's a perfect combination of soft and firm. The initial touch is soft, making the foam contour to your back. But as you add weight to it as you lay down into bed, it becomes firm. Best of both worlds.My only very minor critique would be that lying on my side I can feel the hardness of the floor because that's a lot more weight pressing down on my shoulder into the foam. It's not too bad, just a little noticeable compared to lying on my back.To be fair, this point would not apply to most people because usually the foam goes on top of a standard mattress.Overall this is one of the best purchases I've made in years. When I get in bed now, I actually feel comfort instead of pain. If you have sleeping trouble go to your doctor ASAP and ask if this would help you - The answer is most likely a resounding "Yes!".I can't remember the price I paid for this (about £50) or the seller, but it was one of the most popular choices with lots of good reviews. The delivery was quick and the product was in perfect condition on arrival.

I Highly Recommend this mattress topper, it's extremely comfortable, long lasting and great quality. Can't wait to buy my next one as I have mines a long time now. It's had not ever lost it's comfort or shape but as any mattress product there is a time limit. Worth every £1. Happy customer and will always be a regular customer.

DO NOT BUY THIS and here are the reasons why:1. It doesn't fit our superkingsize bed. It is far too short. We stuff the top and bottom gaps with pillows.2. It stinks! like REALLY stinks!3. It rolls you in to the middle of the bed.4. It is incredibly heavy, it is really hard to move.It is very comfortable to lie on, until you roll into the middle of the bed during the night and you ignore the smell. I am 99% sure I will be returning this, but have no idea how I can, as it will be a nightmare to pack. Off to Amazon customer services I think.
