One of the best SSD USB 1TB Drives One Cany Buy!!!!!
Ok, this is going to read like an advertisement, but I have never been happy about buying a USB SSD before. I will be honest, I bought this USB SSD cause it was low price, was fast and had USB-A and USB-C connector. I honestly didn't give much thought to the device, until I opened up the Amazon delivery package, felt and examined the device. I was impressed immediately and was surprised at its build quality, which I didn't expect. I thought it would be the run of the mill SSD USB cheap plastic device, I didn't know and didn't read that it was built out of High Grade Zinc alloy housing. If you look at the device it looks impressive, it doesn't look cheap and when you hold it in your hand, feel it and touch it it oozes quality. The weight is just enough to let you know it is there, it is a nice weight. Taking the cover off of the USB-A side has a nice friction pull, pulling it off and putting it on, there is no cheap plastic ridge click feeling but a smooth friction action putting the USB-A cover on and off. The USB-C protective cover is a pleasure to operate, again oozing a quality type feel and the markings on this SSD USB device are nice and will not wear with time. I operated this USB device with my PC which has a USB-A port and with my Samsung phone which has a USB-C port, in both cases it operated smoothly and quickly with no issues. On top of this, it came with a very nice leather-built pouch with a key chain holder. This is one of the issues of USB drives, you put it down somewhere and you forget where you put it, the nice leather pouch with key chain means one will always know where the USB device is. I highly recommend this USB SSD device, it is apparent that SSK designers put in a lot of thought into this device from a look, feel, handling, mechanical protection, ease of portability as well as a lot of storage and quick speed as well as port flexibility, having both USB-A and USB-C. I would never think I would write a review about a USB device since all the previous one's I bought were cheap plastic and you couldn't put them on your key chain. But this USB device is nice/fun to handle, look at, store and operate........very nice product.

Works as advertised
This device can do everything asked of it. Both the price point and the data transfer speeds (on the "A" side) are average. That's not a negative though. I have not had a chance to evaluate the data transfer speeds on the "C" side. What sets this little jewel apart, is that it is able to be used like a thumb drive on both "A" and "C" devices without carrying a separate cord or adapter. That, and it's the real deal. There are some "High Capacity" thumb drives listed here on Amazon that are frauds. This is not one of them. When I got this drive, one of the first things I did, was to fill it almost to capacity. Although the data transfer speeds seemed to drop off a little as the drive neared capacity, it handled everything I threw at it, and I have found no issues with data integrity. To be fair, the slowdown could have been with my computer and not the drive, but either way, the results were perfect. As reported in other reviews, the device does get warm, but not hot. I don't believe there needs to be any concern over this. The device is a little heavy in the hand, and seems to be solid and well built. The cover on the "A" side is a removable cap, and on the "C" side it is a hinged cover that stays attached so it can't get lost. There is always a "Trade off" for both types of covers. The removable caps can be misplaced, and the hinged covers can interfere with the connection on some devices. In tight spaces, or on some devices with covers or protective cases the hinged covers can get in the way. I was unable to make a connection on my Android phone with an "Otter Box". Not because of the hinged cover, but because the drive itself hits the side of the protective cover preventing it from sliding all the way in. It seems that the charging port is slightly off center of the opening on the Otter Box. This may be only an Otter design flaw. If you have a protective case on your phone and intend to purchase this device to work with it, you may want to check that. A short adapter (USB "C" to USB "C") cord would allow you to use the device with your phone if that's the case. These can easily be picked up on Amazon. Just be aware. The listed formatted capacity on my Windows machine is 1.81TB. This is EXACTLY where it should be for a 2TB drive. Anyone who has purchased any type of drive and checked the capacity may have wondered at the discrepancy between the listed capacity and what Windows reports. I do wish the HDD community and Microsoft would get together and use the same measuring method, but that's just not the case. Either way, the math works out, and both sides have a point. The drive comes with a handy slip case with a ring that you can use to either put keys on or attach the case to your existing key ring. Not everyone will use this, but it's a nice touch.I got this drive as a data transfer stick. I tested it using my desktop and a wired NAS Server, but if I need to use it with my phone, I keep "C" to "C" Charging/Data Transfer cords laying all over the house, two in each vehicle for charging and to use with Android Auto; and one each in my laptop bags. When I'm traveling and away from my home network I can use this SSD to carry an impressive amount of data to be used "Off Site" without "blowing up" the small drives on my laptops. Although I'm not a gamer myself, it would also be a handy tool for mobile gaming data. I haven't owned this drive long, and cannot speak for it's longevity, but I transferred a lot of data without corruption; the drive can be filled (almost) to capacity without any major issues and the USB "A" and "C" plugs are very handy. In spite of the negatives that I have mentioned, I would recommend this drive, and give it a thumbs up. Now if you'll excuse me, I need to clear off the junk I put on the drive to test it. I hope this review helped someone. :D

Works great
So far, so good. The data transfer rate and data integrity seem more than adequate. I like having 2 TB of storage in an SSD drive the size of a USB drive. It has ports for both USB-c as well as traditional USB-A.
