Squirrels be gone!
I have two cars and I have to park my Cadillac CT4 outside. When I was washing my car, I noticed under the hood acorns appeared ever week. I cleaned them out and they reappeared. Guess what, squirrels were setting up shop for a cold West Coast Florida winter, early in the summer. Of course I saw the commercials on the Motortrend channel on TV and decided to see if Amazon carried the Mouse Blocker Prox. Sure enough, they did. I ordered it, installed it and turned it up on high. Guess what, the following week, no more acorns. Now two months later, still no acorns. This sucker really works. I know they say to turn it down, but I decided to leave it turned up on high. I don't mind the little guys running around the yard, and my dogs really enjoy going our and standing under the tree and looking up and watching them, but keeping them out of my car and not chewing wires was my Number 1 plan and this device accomplished it.So, if you have Squirrels, Chipmunks, mice or rats, get the Mouse Blocker Prox and get rid of them.

I tried EVERYTHING. This changed our lives.
I don't like reading crazy sounding reviews that seem like they are written by the company that sells the product; I have to make an exception in this case and write one of my own. We moved to the top of a mountain this past March, and no one warned us about all of the mice. There aren't enough predators to keep them at bay, and they frigging INFESTED our cars in the driveway after a month of moving in. By the time we noticed, the mice had taken insulation and padding from the seats and created huge nests in the engine bay, trunk, dash, EVERYWHERE. We freaked out since it was our first time experiencing anything like this and read online for solutions. We battled them *all* year up until last month when we bought these MouseBlockers. We tried every stupid thing you've ever read on the internet to prevent mice. Irish Springs soap (they ATE it), mothballs (they didnt mind - we wanted to die), pure peppermint oil (seemed to work for short periods of time, but they immediately came back even with constant spraying. This also made our eyes water we sprayed it so strong). I finally resorted to live traps. I would catch a mouse here and there and take them down the mountain and release them. the problem with this is that if there's 1 mouse, there's thousands. You could catch a mouse every day, and there's thousands more to replace it. Do you want to kill or live trap mice every day forever?I also read online and youtube about sonic devices and how they don't actually work for mice, so I was highly skeptical these would work. I was at my last nerve with mice running all over the car while I drove down the mountain so I was willing to give anything a try. THANKFULLY I can say that after 1.5 months of using this, the mice are GONE! I knew it was working the first weekend we installed the because we would see mouse droppings every single morning in the cupholders and dash as well as live mice in the traps. This was instantly gone after the first weekend. Now that it's been almost 2 months with them, it's all just starting to feel like a bad dream and I can finally review this. I can't recommend these highly enough. For anyone that knows the feeling of seeing mice dart around the car while you drive, you know that it's unnerving experience. The install is super easy. Make sure you try to find a spot somewhat close to the battery because of the short wires, CLEAN the flat spot you pick with de-greaser and then alcohol, and use a high temp heavy duty double sided tape like loctite red. Use 4 strips (2 vertical following the side mounts - 2 horizontal along the fins). You can also use the holes and screws but it's harder to find a mount point and possibly have to drill. Also, put it in a spot where you know you'll get maximum reverberation in the engine bay (don't put it next to or against a padded insulation piece).I know this was long, but it really saved us big time. Luckily the mice had just damaged insulation/seats etc and hadn't ruined the engine wiring yet except for my blinker light wires. We have them set to the highest setting (loud and blinking LED's). I can hear them, our younger friends can definitely hear them, but older people can't hear that frequency as well. As long as the mice stay away, I don't care!

Truly Works--Excellent Company Support
Last year, a rat infestation caused over a thousand dollars of damage in the engine compartment of one of our vehicles. What followed was an extensive trial and error period of oft-noted solutions involving peppermint oil, various spices, laundry drier sheets, cheap noise makers, etc., but the rats always came back. After much depression, discussion, and considerable research, we discovered the Mouse Blocker line of ultrasonic products, which, as we learned, is successfully used by ranchers and farmers, car dealerships and municipalities, and countless car enthusiasts, among others. So we purchased a 12v hard wired Pro model, had it professionally installed, learned how to use it, and shortly thereafter, a bit more than a week, the rats were no longer interested in that car!We now employ several Mouse Blocker Pro devices to protect our vehicles. Not long ago, the same model device, newly installed on another of our cars, began to fail pretty quickly. I called Matt Swift, the owner of Mouse Blocker, and he guided me through the process of testing and resetting the unit, after which we determined that the unit was dying. Matt very kindly, and quickly, sent out a replacement unit, which, after proper installation, works perfectly. Thank you, again, Matt! The Mouse Blocker Pro has alleviated a major headache in my life, and I highly recommend it. This product does not fall into the category of one of those crazy one-note high-pitched toys-- This a high-quality device that appears to do as it is intended, and it is supported by a company that understands what service means.

Looks to be a sturdy mouse alarm
Just recently installed this product on my mother's new lexus hybrid. Instalation was fairly simple & quick despite the lack of instructions in the box. Time will tell if this product works but I'm hopeful with the added mouse repellent spray that mice will find a different home.If I had one suggestion it would be that the product came with longer leads to be able to put deterrent in any location under hood while still routing wiring like a factory installation. In my particular case I would suggest an additional foot.

Internal open circuit on 12v
Has an intermittent open. I didn’t have a chance to check this before the return period closed. This item has an internal intermittent open causing it to shut off if it’s bumped or moved. I tried to use this in an RV so you can imagine that the bumps in the road will cause this to not work after the RV is stationary in storage.

Keep those critters out of your engine!
Had a rat issue in my garage. This was recommended by a friend with the same problem who has one in his Mercedes and Porsche. So far, it has kept them out of my Cadillac and now my wires are protected.
