the shaft was 1mm shorter than what was listed and the arms of my old clock won't fit. So the shaft is 1mm too short and the shaft diam is just a fraction too big for my old clock hands.

I was able to easily replace my old mechanism. The clock has only been working for a couple of hours, but all seems well. The reason I didn't give this five stars is that no instructions came with it. Luckily, when I took the clock apart, I kept the old parts in the order I took them off, so I was able to figure out how to put it back together.

Used to replace dead mechanism on a Craftsman Saw clock that hangs in my garage. Perfect fit for both the saw clock face and the clock hands that look like a hammer and saw. Glad I was able to reuse those funky hands as they give the clock its cool look

Purchased this for a replacement on the craftsman wall clock that simulates a circular saw blade. The clock is unique, but the battery was not working properly. The new quartz mechanism was not difficult to replace but the hour and minute hands were a hammer and saw which had to be removed and re-installed on the new quartz clock. The hands were a little difficult to remove and reinstall, but with some tlc they came off the old clock and fit snugly on the new one. The new clock looks and works great.

The mechanism fit perfect, but it comes with no clock hands. The original clock hands did not fit so I sent it back.
