This product does not function. Router mounting holes are NOT centered with the bit opening.The Miter Gauge will not slide in the guide slot.Do NOT purchase this. IT will NOT work.

I refitted to work with a porter cable plunge router. I used a 1 1/4 piece of ply for the insert mount, then adapted the whole thing to my table saw. It works good. Easier feeding material down a fence then free handing the router. I use for lots of small trim pieces. A whole router table probably better. But the more tools you have the more space you need. I like the portability, and o space. Price didn't hurt either. Just MTCW

Included miter gauge does not slide in groove across this well made and carefully painted plate. Perhaps polishing the grove rather than painting would cut down friction. Not worth the time to figure it out.

Returned . . . Too flimsy for my application

Obvious return item. Greasy handprints, scratches and dings where the previous owner attempted to attach a tool. The little miter guide was assembled in wherever, upside down. Nobody cares at the manufacturer. A smart person could rework the parts and make it a useable product if necessary. But is was not new nor made correctly.

The bar with the compass is not straight and not running smoothly over the rail

The base on this Router Table Insert is thick enough to be nice and sturdy as far as material. The miter gauge sled drags on the base. I had to put a shim under the sled in order to get it to slide properly. You need 2 different size Allen wrenches to adjust the miter gauge. The fence is sturdy, but adjusting the fence is difficult to get it exactly where you want it. Adjusting wing nuts on both ends of the fence is required. There is a place to attach a vacuum hose.
