I previously tried a safety razor that came apart into 3 pieces, you would insert a blade then the whole thing would screw together, it gave a terrible shave and often cuts so i was keen to try this butterfly type instead. I've also tried lots of amazon brand stuff which has always been really good quality at a decent price and this is no different. It's stainless steel and one piece. It does feel weighty in hand with a little bit of a rattle at times due to the butterfly mechanism. To load a blade, twist the base of the handle, then slot a blade over the opening, then twist the handle to close. When inserted there's a huge margin for safety. If the handle is parallel to your skin, it won't shave, slowly tilt up and you can control the closeness. The included blades are very sharp and smooth. Open the wax paper and they feel so smooth i suspect they might even have a thin coat of oil. 1 blade will shave a face twice, for other areas you might get more. For the best shave shower 1st, then wash your face with hot water and get a good lather of shave soap. Of you add a drop of oil (body oil/ skin oil) you'll get a very comfortable shave. When shaving don't press hard, let the razors weight do the work and try to make 1 smooth pass, rather than several little ones. Really good quality, easy to use, and good value to. This will save me a fortune compared to a branded 5 blade razor and gives an excellent shave. Highly recommended. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful

Really good. The handle and its angle is clearly designed for sensitive skin, which I wasn't expecting. The blades are made in Germany, unbranded Amazon - very likely ‘Croma blades’; excellent for beginners, rather than starting with Astra’s and cutting yourself. I would recommend this to anyone, excellent. Excellent shave wet or dry. Small consistent strokes when shaving, not long strokes - it’s not a 5 blade guys.

The razor itself is lovely. Nice long handle, nice weight, looks good, convenient opening system. I had to change out the supplied blades a couple of times as it seemed some were blunt.

Shave is more confortable then I expected from price! Razor is slightly too long and heavier then expected, still good shaving. We shall see the quality of the metal in time. Blades are fine.

Tried this out as my first safety razor and it worked pretty well. Shave was smooth, blades were sharp enough, and it felt nice in hand. Nothing fancy, but good value if you're looking to try a classic shave without spending a lot.

I just love it. Old fashioned way to shave, much more cleaner and easier than the disposals. The material is perfect, it feels desirably heavy in hands. And the blades are good as expected.

The razor itself is great, I'm loving the shave I get with it. However, the blades that come with it are not worth using. I was cutting myself every day. I've gone back to my trusty Treet blades and all is fine.
