Complete 'bangerz'
It's no denying that Miley's style and attitude has changed (and I love the way she is now) since she was younger, but that's to be expected, we all grow up, we all experiment and we all go through different phases and stages in life. That being said, Mileys voice really shines through in most of these tracks.Doing my thang, being a favourite with its edgy lyrics and the amazing tone to her voice.I do agree that the weakest tracks are in fact the deluxe tracks, but they are still very good. Her voice remains powerful, in songs like, drive, somebody else, adore you, wrecking ball, maybe you're right etc. I feel like it would have been better with less of the collaborations and more of just Mileys voice, highlighted on 'my darlin' which could have been a beautiful song, if it weren't for futures part.I would definitely say this is still one of the best albums this year, and its just genuinely a feel good album, it will have you smiling and laughing in some parts and dancing crazily around the room and I must admit a few songs sent the cliche 'shivers down my spine' e.g Maybe you're right. Also not sure if it mentions but you get some pretty cool stickers with this album too, which is a bonus.I would honestly say it is worth the money you pay for this album, yes its different, but you can still clearly here the 'old miley' on these tracks and if I'm honest she sounds better than she ever has. Its a great experimental pop album with great beats, creative, heartfelt and funny lyrics and sung by an amazing young woman. Don't let her new image pull you away from this album, you'd be missing out if you did.

BANGERZ is definitely a banger!
I really wasn't sure what to expect from this album after hearing the first single 'We Can't Stop', as I wasn't keen on the song itself. However, I decided to buy the album and give it a change, and I'm so happy I did! The album is a LOT better than I expected and like Miley said, 'every song could be a single'.'Adore You' is the slowest song on the album and has a laid back sound to it. This is one of my least favourite songs as I find it a bit depressing. I also feel that this should not of been the opening track for the album. However, it is still a good song that I can see being quite poplar. You then have the first single, 'Can't Be Tamed', which has actually grown on me since buying the album and listening to it more. 'SMS (Bangerz)' features the amazing Britney Spears, as well as (sort of) being the title track. Although for some reason, I just can't seem to get into this song, which I am really surprised at. '4X4' features Nelly, and to me, is the surprise hit on the album. I was not expecting to like this song, but it has definitely became one of my favourites, with Miley's modern country sound.Next is 'Dear Darlin', which is another ballad and a song I'm not too keen on. You then have the amazing second single, 'Wrecking Ball'. This of course, is one of the stand out tracks and was perfect for the second single. 'Love Money Party' is a fun song with a unique beat, that has definitely grown on me. '#GETITRIGHT' is one of my favourite songs on the album. With Miley's erotic lyrics and the whistling beat, this definitely has a sexy feel. 'Drive' is another ballad, which took me a couple of listens to get into, and could possible be a single. 'FU' is definitely a mad song, and Miley also comes across a bit mad/crazy. This is a song that stand out because of its lyrics. 'Do My Thang', to me, has a more upbeat sound and has definitely become one of my favourite songs on the album. 'Maybe You're Right' is one of the best ballads on the album. I especially love the background music/beat in this song. 'Someone Else' is a brilliant song to finish off the standard version of the album. This is probably the most upbeat song on the album and could be classed as a dance track. The deluxe version included 4 brand new tracks. 'Rooting For My Baby' is the only song that I have deleted as I personally think it's too bland and boring. 'On My Own' is another one of my favourite songs on the album, with a more upbeat sound. I especially love the way Miley is singing in this song. Last but not least is 'Hands In The Air', which is probably my second favourite song on the album (after Wrecking Ball). How this didn't make onto the standard version I do not know!Overall, this is a brilliant album from Miley Cyrus, that shows us a more grown up sound, compared to her 'Can't Be Tamed' album. There are a couple of songs that I'm not that keen on, but will definitely still listen to them. The only song on the whole album I didn't like it is 'Rooting For My Baby'. I would of liked to of seen Miley put a proper club anthem song on the album, as I feel that it is missing that spark.

The pressing for this vinyl is stunning!
I thought it was gonna be more of a translucent before opening it…But upon opening it, discovered it’s opaque and mine has white streaks/marbelling in it!Very nice!

FYI, The records are opaque marbled sea glass colour in the UK. Not translucent.
The product image and everything I've seen to promote this record has shown the translucent sea glass colour. Only in the US market are the records translucent in appearance.

good but lacks the depth to last
The first thing that hits you about this album is unfortunately the autotune, which is a shame but as it is a pop album we can let that slide and anyway it does suit the feel of the first song quite well and is nowhere near as blatant through most of the album, for the most part a measure of subtlety is observed. Still ignoring all of that there are some really good songs on here that you wouldn't be averse to dancing to in a club or in your front room or whatever. The flipside is that there are a few dire filler tracks but happily the ratio is in favour of the hit.The songs featuring other artists are particularly strong and add a good amount of variety to the album bringing some nicely interesting sounds to the table. It's all good fun if you don't take it too seriously and the songs are light and bouncy enough for everyone to enjoy, so all in all it's a good pop album with some really good tracks on it. The album is not going to engage you for very long, it's too disposable for that but in the short term it's well worth a shot.
