I think they work well, but with infrequent use , they most likely will fail when one needs it again. I'm trying to extend its life by using baking soda to clean the acid. well see if it works.

Multi purpose
Very easy to use, never had it leak. I mostly used it for brake fluid after performing a bleed as there would be too much in the reservoir.

Use for other than filling battery--works great!
I used it to suction out the gas in my snow blower before putting it away for the summer. It gets almost all of the gas, VERY little left. I then started the snow blower to use the gas that was in the lines. It only ran for about 1 minute. Also used it to suction out the oil in my lawn mower and garden tiller when I changed the oil in them. You can squeeze the sunctioned oil right into the old oil recycling jug--no mess. I put a block of wood under one side of the lawn mower to make sure to get out all the oil possible. My Honda mower has a oil drain plug, but you must tilt it on its side and let it drain. When doing this the old way by draining the oil through the drain plug hole, the oil gets all over. I use the suction bulb directly into the filler hole. There is absolutely no mess using the suction flex tube, and it got out all the old oil. Wash the suction bulb by putting it into a small can with liquid dishwashing soap and squeezing the bulb three or four times. Then do the same thing with clean water. I don't dread changing oil in my lawn and garden equipment any more.

Flows out of the reservoir
This is an OK product for filling lead acid batteries and holds a decent volume of distilled water. I don't like that when the tip is placed down, some of the water flows out on its own.
