Great for PC
This was purchased for use with iPhone but it does not work. Before returning it we plugged it into a Surface Pro and into a Bose speaker. The sound was excellent across all frequencies. My wife uses to practice for her part in choirs and she was able to hear the soprano portion much better.

Great Value DAC, mostly just for IEMs.
Sound Quality with this DAC is great. Works well for most IEMs and some low impedance headphones. Tried it on some higher impedance/lower sensitivity headphones and it didn't do as well. Balanced output seems to not work the best for whatever reason I get bad audio quality. Solid metal build in a easy to carry size. Simple to use. It's my preferred DAC for my IEMs on the go when I want to listen to music on my phone. I think it'll satisfy most audiophiles.

Amazing DAC for the money!
I’ve been using it since I bought it. Does what it says on the product description. You need to know how to use other OSes to change some settings if you’re only using Apple devices. Not an issue for me, but could be a problem for others. With the right headphones, speakers, etc. I think it is well worth the price. Haven’t bothered with the balanced output as of now. It sounds just fine with the standard 1/8” (3.5mm) jack to my ears. So far its build quality is pretty decent and it is very portable. The long press functionality for frequency filters is not always noticeable… but that’s what equalization is for. I don’t seem to use EQ very much with it, but we all have different tastes and process sound differently. I’m digging the “ChiFi” products which I have purchased. Pairs well with the MoonDrop Blessing 3 IEMs. As the saying goes, “Your mileage may vary.” No bluetooth connectivity, and if that’s a problem, you’re probably not the intended audience.

A SERIOUS PRODUCT THAT PUNCHS WELL OUT OF ITS PRICE BRACKET
Bought this as a Christmas present. In order to make sure it worked and was not a dud, i tried it using my Samsung 23+ using my HiSenior Megafest EST, using Double twist player and a long list of combo flacs, mp4 and other files to sample the audio. I can tell you this thing was obscene in its sound quality, slam, musicality and shear power. Huge soundstage, bass slam to embarrass many desktop amps, and head slamming crisp detailed highs surprised the ever loving crap out of me. This thing was nearly on par with my Questyle M15i at a price that truly could embarrass the M15i as well as many others in that price range. Needless to say, it simply shocked me as to the quality of the sound this thing put out. Time will only tell as to the toughness and durability of the Dawn, but for the price I could go thru 4 of them and still just be even with the more expensive dongle dacs. It is certainly worth your consideration.

If this thing was a sports car, the power to weight ratio would be insane!
First impressions on this are very good - sounds wonderful! Bought it to use with my work laptop as well as my type-c only phone. Using Yamaha HPH-MT8 headphones. This has been tested streaming 24-bit 192khz audio from Amazon music and some 24-bit FLAC files. It may be a placebo effect, but I swear this even makes YouTube audio (listen to a lot of mixes on YouTube when working) sound better (more dynamic and separated) and I'd like to think I'm a fair judge on audio quality. Highly recommend the Dawn Pro. The price is amazing and it definitely does what it says.

Great sound... when it works. (TL:DR Do NOT buy this for use with PC)
I bought this because I had moved my PC away from my desk, and use a USB C dock. Everything works great until I plug in this DAC. Not only does it limit support to the lowest quality setting (and a flashing red light... yes it gets distracting quick), there are constant, irregularly timed drop-outs that disrupt my connection to the PC. Remove the MoonDrop, problems go away. Reached out the the manufacturer, who said that I must have a defective unit, and despite the fact that they have drivers and a Firmware update listed specifically for this device (the firmware software can't detect it either). So I ordered a replacement, and exact same issues. So if you are using this on a Phone, I guess it will be good, but DO NOT buy this for PC. Computer support is terrible.

Faulty Cable, Glitches, and Broken Buttons
The included USB C cable caused the DAC to randomly disconnect from my phone. So, I went ahead and purchased a new cable and the problem went away completely, okay fine...Then, after about a week of use, I started getting periods where audio would crackle and become distorted. Disconnecting and reconnecting from my phone would temporarily resolve this for an hour or so. Seemed to be an issue with the High Gain mode as turning the amp to Low Gain mode in the Moondrop software fixed this issue indefinitely, okay fine...Finally, today I went to use the volume button and the button just fell/collapsed into the shell, so now I can't turn the volume down, unless I use the software...It's sad because, when it works the sound quality is great and definitely punches above its class. I want to use it, love it, and have it be my daily audio companion. Unfortunately, the build quality and QC is apparently where they cut costs to get it priced the way is.

The Best Dac Dongle With a Caveat
A fantastic performing device, rich in detail and clarity for IEMs as well as low impedance full size headphones. Very cool look and design with lights under the machined holes that indicate playback quality. The only problem is quality control. My original unit rattled and eventually shorted or something and would no longer function so I had to painstakingly return for a different unit. This unit has no rattle I've used it about 250 hours no problem. Joshua Valor of YouTube audiophile fame reviewed a unit with a rattle but praised it for how amazing it sounds for the price point. He only docked it for the rattle which isn't supposed to be there I realized after receiving my second unit. There's a big quality control issue here and many rattling defective units are being sent out to customers. But if you can get a proper unit without the defect this beats every other dac/Amp dongle I've ever tried, punching way above its weight class. Just if you order one be prepared for an arduous return process if your unit is one of the defective ones. Were it not for this problem I'd given it 5 stars.
