My 21 years old GE Profile had an intermittent issue with ice making and very weak drinking dispenser flow. 1st, replacing refrigerator Water Valve fixed water dispenser issue but still not much ice making. 2nd, replacing ice machine fixed the ice making issue. Now the ice storage is full.New ice machine has been producing ice consistently for 3 weeks now. So far so good and time will tell how long it will last! Excellent price and fast shipping. Hands down 5 stars!

I installed it long enough to discover that this wasn't causing my problem, so I sent it back. It worked perfectly for the very brief time that it was installed.

Purchased this ice maker to replace the ice maker in my 18-year-old GE Profile Refrigerator and it is working amazingly well. I also replace the water valve and ice bucket so my ice making system is working like new. All of these repairs are easy and take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. Repairs can be done with even basic mechanical knowledge, just let YouTube be your guide. Do not waste money on a technician.I first replaced the water valve for $20 and that didn't fix my ice maker water flow problem. So then I replaced the ice maker and now the water flows like it should. The water valve was going bad because now the water flow is better than before. the ice maker filled the ice bucket in two days and now it is full all of the time. It's nice to have ice again for the hot summer.Hope this helps.

I've had it installed for almost a month and it's been working well. Puts out a ton of ice. I'm happy with the purchase.

It worked for about 6 weeks. I guess when you pay 1/4 the OEM price, you get what you pay for, in this case, an expensive lesson.UPDATE. Well, I ordered an "OEM" part and it was EXACTLY the same as one I got from Amazon, except is cost over $200 by the time I paid tax and shipping. I called them and got the old "that's the mfg price we charge" so I returned it. I'm still out of pocket on shipping, both ways. GRRR! I'm going to put the "old" one back in and hope it works. It wasn't dumping the ice and subsequently tried to make 2 batches at once and froze over. Maybe it was a quirk and now that it's thawed out it will be OK.UPDATE: Well, the "thawed out" fix seemed to work for a while, but it's up to the old issues again where the raker arm won't fully eject the ice and then freezes in the next batch of cubes. Troubleshooting the issue on the internet yields either the cubes are too big or the the heater isn't working properly.

This ice maker was easy to install and makes lots of ice. It’s a great value for the cost.. Don’t hesitate to get one…

Almost identical to the GE ice maker removed.Functions the same.Does not have the padding on the left hand side that makes it fit snug against the wall of the fridge. Had to use the one from the original side panel. But a quick swap.
