AcuRitePortable Digital Thermometer for Indoor or Outdoor Temperature with Carabiner Clip (00333)

I got this to clip to my baby’s car seat so I know how hot he is inside while we are out on walks and in the stroller. It has helped so much to be able to know how hot it is inside and then I can have the fan on or move to shade. It’s super easy to clip to just about anything. Super easy to read, the size is great. So far it has worked perfectly.

This sturdy thermometer is perfect for my little greenhouse. It reminds me to open the windows if it gets too warm. Just remember to hang it out of direct sunlight otherwise the temperature is inaccurate.

while I love acurite products, this one is just not well designed for it's intended use. It is not water resistant.,..there are gaps on the bottom around the battery allowing water/dust/... to easily get into the mechanism. Just not designed to last on a backpack or even clipped to a belt loop in any sort of rougher environment use. Good idea as a product...just not a good stab at a solution.

I like the large display, it seems accurate and durable.

4.5 stars. Hung up in house. It still works as it fell on tile and casing cracked, battery flew out. Put thermometer back together, rehung and it works. So impressed with working, unimpressed with casing as now it is less protected from elements with cracked casing. So 4 stars for unsturdiness, 5 stars for working. So 4.5 stars, really. I would buy again. The device is small, portable, lightweight. Does it's job. So I recommend.

First of all ... it is a digital thermometer. From there ... not so good. This thing is huge! Would be impossible to use on a zipper pull. It is oddly constructed ... a device inside a plastic bubble. There is no on/off switch ... so the unit is constantly on. Why? I do not need it on all the time ... and doing so lessens the battery life. The temperature reading displayed is about 2-degrees below the actual temperature ... on my unit anyway. The unit is SO VERY SLOW in arriving at the ambient temperature. I took the unit out into 6-degree weather ... and after fifteen minutes it still had not reached the ambient temperature. I cannot recommend this item.

Clips on so you can carry around if you need to know good idea of what temperature is all the time. I have multiple sclerosis so I need to keep track of for the temperature is getting to be where I am. I usually clip this on to my purse, or nearby where I'm doing something. So when I see that I'm getting close to my danger zone I can start cooling down before I heat up too much. Pinch the battery drawer open to change it out, very simple. It does temperature and that's all So if that's what you need, This is the thing! I think it might be a little brittle because of the plastic housing, so I'm taking care not to drop it. Good price for a small handy item

Some have questioned the accuracy of this thermometer. I've found it to be within about 1 degree Fahrenheit compared other digital thermometers, at least in the range 68-78 degrees. It's a useful item that you can bring hiking, camping, or on trips, and won't take up much storage in your backpack or other luggage.
