We were so excited to try this out. I bought it for my husband for our anniversary so we could make Christmas pierogies. Well, we tried to today. First, the pierogies were so small that they were useless, and the directions were terribly written. I thought I could return it, but of course the return window was closed. So now I’m stuck with a useless appliance.

This dumpling press was just a bit too fast for me to be able to use it. However it's probaly me just being slow at preparing them.

This was a Christmas present to my wife as she likes kitchen gadgets. This little machine works well for making homemade pot-stickers. It usually seals up the dumpling but not always. We often buy the pre-made dumpling wrappers and we have tried the square and round wrappers. Both shapes work well with about 70-80% success rate in sealing up the dumplings. It is no big deal to seal it up by hand and it rarely totally fails. Having good quality dough and a moistened edge seal makes the success rate go up significantly. The unit operates well and is easy to clean afterwards. If you over-stuff the wrapper the machine will not seal up the dumpling and "trial-and-error" is easy enough to find the perfect amount of stuffing to place in a wrapper. It ends up being about 1-2 teaspoons.

It works, but not quite like it should. It has trouble grabbing the dough and pulling it through. You have to “help” it. I think if the two sides were slightly further apart it would pull it in fine, idk if that would cause an issue with it sealing though. Overall is did work, it makes it easier and more uniform.

I love this dumpling make. It worked so much better making perogies than by had. I was able to stuff more sauerkraut into each dumpling. It also sealed the dough so much better. I can't wait to make pot stickers.
