BLACK+DECKER PowerCrush Digital Blender with Quiet Technology, Stainless Steel, BL1300DG-P

I love this blender. The glass container is thick and heavy as it should be, especially if you're putting ice or frozen foodstuffs in it. The motor is quite powerful and relatively quiet as far as blenders go. After about a year, a tab on the lid tore, so I called B&D about it and they promptly replaced the lid free of charge.

I’ve been very pleased with this blender. I make smoothies with it almost every day and it not only blends frozen milk cubes but “sticky” fruits like prunes very well. I don’t believe any blender can be termed “quiet” but it is much quieter than my previous blender. The first few times I used it, I had trouble taking it apart to clean it and my husband had to help me but now it’s easy for me to disassemble it myself. I also originally had a small amount of leakage but that is no longer a problem. So, if you’re concerned about it the first few times you use it, hang in there; it will work better the more it is used!

works great, only drawback for me is the canister is somewhat heavy.

The order was delivered quickly, and it was packaged just fine. The only thing wrong: no lid. I do have an extra lid I can use, but the point is, there should have been a lid inside the packaging. Other than that, I'm happy with my purchase.

Perfect blender, simple, practical but it does its job. I love that I can make my smoothies and frappes in it, and I also love the glass container that makes it more hygienic.

Chops stuff up. It's heavy and stable, but I still hold the pitcher-thing in place because I'm paranoid. I love the simple controls! It's nice to see that appliances still exist which don't have giant, fancy touchscreens.Something about the sound of the motor (or gearing, maybe) isn't confidence-inspiring, but it certainly has plenty of power.

When removing the blender base after blending item, make sure nothing is around,, as the blades fall off and blended item remaining at the bottom is wasted. So do put the blender base on a large bowl or such.Using a small spatula helps scraping item out of the glass jar.
