Great (with a headband)
These headphones work great. However, it took me a while to figure out how to keep them in my ears! The solution that finally worked was to use the Large EAR BAND-IT headband. Large Blue EAR BAND-IT® neoprene headband. The sound quality is great, but you have to keep the water out of your ears to make these work well. This is done by keeping a good seal between the headphone and your ear canal. This is a problem if you are swimming because your arm may bump your ears or the cord gets stuck to your skin and gives a light tug on the headphone. So, without a headband, these just didn't work for me. I tried a swimcap, and this MOSTLY worked for me. I did have to turn the headphones upside down however, as the swim cap put pressure UPWARD, towards the top of my head and would cause the headphones to spring outward (the bottom of them is a solid plastic tab leading into the cord). The EAR BAND-IT worked perfectly in two ways. 1) It keeps pressure inward only, so that keeps the headphones pressed into my ears. 2) You can wrap the cord around the headband (1 time) as a pressure relief. As I said, the cord sometimes sticks to your wet skin, giving a small tug. That small tug can break the seal with your ear, so if you wrap it around the headband it doesn't pull directly on the headphones.Overall, I give this product 5 stars because it works as advertised and I really like using it. I knew from reviews here that "keeping it in your ear" is a problem, but there are several solutions and you just need to find one that works for you.

Amazing!! (Just Use a Swimcap to Keep Them in Ears)
I've tried a lot of different waterproof headphones and these are by far the best. ANY earphone will fall out while swimming unless you wear either a headband or an over-the-ear swim cap (I use the excellent Aqua Sphere silicone swim cap).Once you get a feel for how to place the earphones under the cap, they are pretty fail-safe (I'd say only once in every 30 to 40 swims I get a little water getting between the earphone and my ear canal--no big deal). And the sound quality (under water) is truly spectacular.(And btw, I use them with a waterproofed Ipod Shuffle from Swimman.net -- really great solution that clips onto the back of your swim cap.)There is definitely a little bit of a learning curve to get started with these, but once you get a feel for putting them in right, they add about one minute to your pre-swim routine and are definitely worth it.

good headset, but the delivery from Amazon affiliate left a mark
This purchase was the second time I have bought these headphones. I am very pleased with them, both in terms of quality and durability. After going through many other waterproof headsets, my swimming buddies and I discovered these and have been overjoyed that they last for more than a month of daily swims (almost a year). But I must comment here on the poor delivery service of J & R Music World, the Amazon affiliate that shipped the item to me: Three weeks after I had made my purchase, I notified J & R that I hadn't received it. I was told that the end of the month had to pass before any action would be taken. After the required date passed, I again notified J & R and days later received a response that my item would be shipped. It was another two weeks or so before my headset was received, meaning that it took about 5 weeks for me to receive my order. I feel that this delay was inexcusable. I will not place another order with Amazon if J & R is the only available source for my purchase.

Work just fine
Let's just be totally honest here and admit that no headphones that can be worn underwater are going to sound as good as a regular pair without costing a ridiculous amount of money. That being said, the sound on these was just fine for me. I could hear my music, I could understand it all, and distinguish the different instruments. I wasn't awed by the clear quality of course, but they did exactly what they said they would do, they stayed in my ears just fine and they were comfortable enough. I have strangely shaped ears that hurt horribly when I wear ear plugs, but I never had more than a small throb of discomfort with these. Just fine for boating, ocean going, water rafting, or lap swimming.

Lasted a very short period of time...
I've been swimming with music for the last 7 years, starting with a wonderful pouch case from [...], and then going to cases for my iPod. I bought these earphones to replace the h20Audio headphones that I purchased with my first case, and those earphones lasted about 3 years with nearly daily use. I had initially purchased another set of h20audio earphones, which lasted for exactly 1 day more than the 30 days warranty. So, I purchased these which are nearly the same price... The first pair didn't work at all, and Amazon replaced them for me free of charge. The second pair worked for 3 months. The third, and last pair, worked for 2.5 months.I was out of the pool a year due to illness, and am now looking for earphones again. I won't be buying these.

Not very durable
These kinds of waterproof headphones only work if you can keep water out of your ears. To accomplish that and hold the buds in my ear canals, I have to wear a swim cap pulled over my ears -- but they do sound about as good as can be expected. I drape the cord behind by back to my waterproof iPod case clipped in the back of my suit, so the cord doesn't get in the way. However, they have a very short shelf-life. When I swim actively, I typically do 4-5 miles every week. These headphones lasted about two months before they short-circuited.
