DEWALT20V MAX Cordless Impact Wrench, 1/2" Hog Ring, High Torque, Brushless, Bare Tool Only (DCF961B)

As with all my DeWalt products, I find the quality of this impact gun to be fantastic. This particular one is the most powerful and intuitive impact gun I’ve ever used. I used it on my coach bus, which requires 460 foot pounds of torque. It removed the lugs from my wheels without any effort at all. I was blown away by its power and the fact that it is a smart gun. It starts off with a low torque and when things don’t move it ramps up, but once it breaks free, it slows down to spin the lug nuts off gently and not throw them across the room. A great design and a powerful product. More powerful than their three-quarter inch drive. It is also not overly heavy in the hand.

The media could not be loaded. I’ve had this for 2 days I got to use it at work is all so far. I bought this tool only then a 8 amp hour powerstack that was on sale for it and so far been very surprised. I’ve been told nothing but to be careful and that it dumb to use it for taking wheel ends off trucks (I work on semi trucks and trailers a lot of tires and brakes) but I wasn’t worried and figured if I use it enough right away money back within 30 days dewalt says. So far out of 14 different wheel ends between 6 or so different truck or trailer’s I’ve had 4 lug nuts on one trailer it didn’t want to take off on one wheel end. Took all the others off and few them didn’t think where coming then did but 4 did not and even our normal 1 inch Ingersoll Rand air gun wouldn’t budge it had to use the one that’s like twice the weight but still 1 inch to break them loose and even that struggled. I didn’t even give up with the dewalt though I sat on one the lugs after I got all other 6 off and held the trigger for solid 2 minutes or more before it over heated and shut itself off and would let me try after a few seconds then shutoff again until it acted like it was dead and I couldn’t even tould the metal part of it . 3 minutes of that later I held it on there for another 30 seconds before I got the air gun because it was smelling like burnt electrical . Snap on can lick it. Only complaint is the metal is obviously like cast aluminum and pretty soft be careful you don’t have any part of the tool resting on part of anything you impacting on you’ll tear it up easy or pinch your hand thing eats. I’ll update this review in a month or more if it don’t break by then.

Works great. Like the multiple modes. Haven't really played with "Precision Wrench Mode," but it certainly sounds useful. Like the "Low Speed Mode" which maxes out at 100 ft-lbs., allowing me to ensure I'm setting the final torque with the torque wrench and not overtightening with the impact gun. "High Speed Mode" is great for breaking lug nuts after the gorillas at the dealership tighten them insanely high. Tool is definitely on the heavy side, but I guess that is the price you pay for this kind of power. I would definitely recommend.

Works great and it’s a beast. Little heavy but great purchase for changing tires on my 40 foot gooseneck trailer especially when you need to get them charged quick so you are not sitting on the side of the road for long. Definitely recommend.

This impact gets it. I work in the gold mines as a process mechanic so most the equipment is large. Most mechanics use the Milwaukee high torque impacts. This impact hits harder than the milwaukee 1/2 and 3/4 impacts. Very impressed. I run the 5ah power stack battery. Well worth it for larger bolt jobs.
