This little stand has changed my media viewing habits (print books, tablet, and laptop). Its a bit winky to figure out at first, but very with it. I was diagnosed with cervical radiculopathy, which showed up as severe arm and neck pain one morning. Turns out my years of lap reading habits have caused arthritis at all of my neck vertebrae, one of the discs suddenly bulged & caused severe pain. Many neurological appointments ensued... An elevated reading stand was deemed essential. The neck and arm pain are gone and I faithfully use this stand daily now for reading & chair laptop work. Now that I have the hang of it, it just takes a couple seconds to transition between "reading mode and laptop mode". My neck is never looking down at my task anymore. It even props up my cookbooks when I'm standing in the kitchen. Annnd it folds completely flat & fits in my overhead suitcase. Be sure to get the one with 3 legs, much more versatile.

I love reading in bed, but it gets uncomfortable to hold a book up for too long. Worse, I'm always craning my neck downward, and now have a case of "nerd neck" to show for it.This thing perfectly solves the problem.Pros:- The legs are far enough apart that my legs can fit between them with plenty of room to spare. I'm 5'8 and 150 lbs, but this'd fit someone with much bigger thighs than myself, too. I couldn't find another product that checked this box.- Can adjust the height so your neck isn't bent to read. Many of the other products I looked at were really only suitable for laptops, which require a lower height.- Can tilt the platform to any angle. Many others maxed out at 35 or 45 degrees - again, fine for laptops but not really for books.- The rubberized pad on the shelf under the book keeps it in place effectively. I read a heavier hardcover last night and it never felt in danger of falling off the shelf.- Feels sturdy and well built.- Lightweight.Cons:None really. But here are some considerations that don't bother me but might bother others.- Adjusting the 6 joints (3 per leg) to get it to fit your style takes some initial work. The buttons that release the locks work well and the joints shift effortlessly; it's not that. It's just that you can't really make the adjustments while sitting in bed in your preferred position. You need to pick the thing up and work on it, one side at a time. And then pick it up again after testing it out, if you need to make any further adjustments. Since you only really do this once -- and can note down the numbers for each joint position if you do want to change it, say to shift between a bed and desk -- this isn't a con for me.- There are no page holders. I actually thought this would be an issue for me, and it gave me pause before I bought it. But it turns out that placing a hand gently on a book to prevent the pages from flipping feels quite natural and doesn't cause any strain or discomfort. In fact, I don't notice it at all.

This was frustrating to get the legs bent the way I needed them. I am able to make it work using it on the sofa because one side of the legs are shoved down between one of the sofa cushions and the side of the sofa to help anchor it in place. And I'm using voice control on my laptop so I'm able to have my laptop at about eye level now and use it like that. But if I needed to touch the keyboard I would have to get it down off of the stand to comfortably use it, and I guess I will have to store it in this already bent position because I don't want to go through the hassle with bending its legs into place every time I use it. I am hoping that this will help chronic neck issues. There really needs to be better directions though for bending the legs into place.

I found the assembly guide difficult to follow. Two people and a bright light help in assembling the thing.My main complaint: the product's design is lacking the ability to hold a book open to a desired page. I bought it to hold the manual for a complex camera while I attempt to duplicate the actions prescribed with the camera.

A little confusing to set up at first, it that’s prob because I don’t read directions. It is very sturdy, lightweight. I use it at work so I can stand some of the time. I use it with a mini stepper. I can read through some work stuff while on it. If someone comes in to talk to me, it is easy and light enough to put in the floor

We got this for my father, who has a bad shoulder, so that he can read in bed, and it works great. It is adjustable to however you need it, and it is lightweight for his shoulder. It is versatile and can be used, and it is perfect if you're looking for a good-quality holder.

Got this for my husband who is 100% disabled to help him hold his books while he is sitting on the couch or his chair. it is difficult to get the right angle, (you need 3 hands to get it adjusted}. When you do get it adjusted it wont sit on the couch without toppling over. he cant hold it and try to read at the same time. I really thought I found something to help him and make things easier for him and was really really disappointed in this. One reason I dislike shopping on line because things are deceiving. they look good but are not once you get them. but when you cant leave the one you care for you dont have much option.
